I see a lot of baseball parks, and 42.bpmod wrote:Hey Vanya!
It's getting close. Do you see a theme?

500 quatloos to anybody who knows where that '42' picture was taken. And another 500 to anybody who knows its significance. (It does fall into the baseball theme.)Vanya wrote:I see a lot of baseball parks, and 42.bpmod wrote:Hey Vanya!

It *looks* like a picture of an iPhone up against a fence...but it's more likely a really really large LCD with flagpoles behind it. Which still doesn't really help because it's...well...it's as nondescript as an iPhone up against a fence.bpmod wrote: 500 quatloos to anybody who knows where that '42' picture was taken. Well, I knew that .bpmod wrote:It is Jackie Robinson's number. That is the correct significance.
It is not an iPhone up against a fence. It is a crop from this picture here:

(A couple of others: Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky.)

Well, I did say it wasn't an iPhone, merely that it bore a strong resemblance to one, which it does!! This has not been disputed yet!bpmod wrote:It is Jackie Robinson's number. That is the correct significance.

The day that Jim (trainman) and I went to the game, they were advertising Jackie Robinson Day, coming up the next day.
And, where did Jim and I see the game? You got it! Dodger Stadium.
So, 500 quatloos each to Volante and alietr.

Actually, we were there on Jackie Robinson Day, April 15.bpmod wrote:The day that Jim (trainman) and I went to the game, they were advertising Jackie Robinson Day, coming up the next day.
