It was my first time taking the test, and I also thought it wasn't too bad. I know for sure there were some lit/entertainment ones that I didn't get, but w/e. My video recorder sucked so I guess I'll wait for the transcript too. :P

Ditto. I wasn't agonizing about when this test will end compared to previous exams so I'm more confident; but I will wait for the transcripts (in case I lost count of how many I missed).

37. Would have liked to have done a little better, and made a few stupid mistakes, but seems from past experience that it'll do :)

I did pretty well, but I thought I had closed an open window, so I opened another window and took the test in it. When I took it I had a second window open recording blank answers while I typed my actual ones into the one I was working with. I really hope that doesn't kill my chances...

How much does spelling matter? Got 47, but two misspellings...

Does anyone know what the cutoff usually is for the next round, or when we're supposed to hear?

The Wikipedia page for the former says it's the southernmost. Even if the latter does extend a little farther south, I'd say the latitude of the geographical center of the lake ought to be the determinant of "southernmost."

Assuming that's correct, I aced this test. Pretty sure that's a first, including kids' and teen tests. There were a few guesses I wasn't sure of: the last guy in the triumvirate, the Twilight installment, the bordering country, the Great Lake, and the weather phenomenon, but they all panned out. Even the sports and fashion clues were a cinch (though I'd have probably missed them without the nationality and mythology references, respectively).

Depending on how many they count with last second entries, I got at least 38, if they take all of them, 41. I might have went too much and said "hurricane winds", but I don't remember if I took winds out last second. William the Conqueror hit my mind last second and got "Wil" in. For Zodiac, I didn't RTFQ for the key word "Chinese". For "Bohemian composer's" for some reason my mind drifted From Bohemian to Bohemian Rhapsody to Rhapsody in Blue so I put Gershwin.

So, would that be a Before And After? Freddie Mercury does George Gershwin...

Brian
...but the senator, while insisting he was not intoxicated, could not explain his nudity.

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

Got 41, possibly 42-43 if:

Would "hurricane wind" be acceptable for saffir simpson scale? And is "adverb" definitely acceptable? Everywhere i've looked online, "but" and "however" are classified as "adverbs" as well as "conjunction."

so 41-43

As that is exactly what it measures, I would have to go with "yes". ;)
