Before & After meets Monty Python

Post by Volante »

I didn't want to clutter up the other thread with this and this is waaaaaay too esoteric to pitch for the hiatus

BEFORE AND AFTER THE SPANKINGS
400: Lament of one hexed into an amphibious former House Speaker

800: Arrangement in Gray and Black being taunted by a Frenchman

1200: Gershwin melody that can't decide on it's favorite color

1600: Disneyland landmark where the Holy Grail can be found

2000: Internal organs of a "wooly" nursery rhyme halting seismic activity
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
Latest movies (1-10): WIthnail & I (7), An Autumn Afternoon (7), Europa Europa (7), Tampopo (9)

Spoiler
1600: Is it Cinderella's Castle of Aaaaaaaaaargh?
I agree with Paucle' s answers for the first three, and I have no earthly idea on the 2000 clue.

Spoiler
BEFORE AND AFTER THE SPANKINGS
400: Lament of one hexed into an amphibious former House Speaker
What is "She turned me into a Newt Gingrich!"?
800: Arrangement in Gray and Black being taunted by a Frenchman
What is "Whistler's Mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!"?
1200: Gershwin melody that can't decide on it's favorite color
What is "Rhapsody in Blue! No, yellow! Aah..."?
1600: Disneyland landmark where the Holy Grail can be found
What is [some kind of] Castle Aaarghhhh? (I've never been to Disneyland and don't know much about it. I'm guessing it's the one modeled on Neuschwanstein, but I don't know what they call it at Disneyland)
2000: Internal organs of a "wooly" nursery rhyme halting seismic activity
What is "Baa Baa Black Sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes"?
Great questions! I'm impressed how quickly you came up with them!

ETA: Have you considered becoming a writer for the show?

We're still missing one (although the track has been found, it's just picking the right name).
(And yes, it is "Blue! No, yellow!" So close, paucle!)

Incidentally, the sheep one was the first one i came up with...I did weaken it a bit (Pappy Boyington's "wooly" method of halting seismic activity) but I'm not sure if that counts as 'weakening' to this crowd.
