NFL is not locked out of Before & After
The Monty Python thread the other day got me thinking... and you know that's dangerous, right?
200 NFC East team that shows Jon Favreau should stick to Iron Man.
400 NFC East team that is a tale of Norwegian pioneers in North Dakota.
600 AFC North team that sings "Stuck in the Middle With You".
800 AFC South team that is more disparagingly known as "robber barons".
1000 AFC East team prohibited by name in the Constitution. (Considering the past decade, it's no surprise)

Re: NFL is not locked out of Before & After
Wow, those were tough, as I could only get the first one. I knew which teams the 400 and 1000 clue were referring to, but couldn't complete the second part of the clue.
I decided to try my hand at writing a few of these, just to see how awful they would turn out. I even took it up a notch by making them Before, During, & After, and in one case, Before, During, During, & After.
200: I was a 19th century president, later a teammate of Otto Graham, and then retired to a single-family home often found in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Chicago.
400: I'm a former NHL MVP, currently playing in Tampa Bay, once won a Super Bowl with Kurt Warner, and even longer ago I was the third Egyptian Pharaoh of the Nineteenth dynasty.
600: I co-starred with Daniel Day-Lewis in an Oscar-nominated film, played on the offensive line in front of Ken O'Brien, and later played members of two opposing gangs on Broadway.
800: Where in the world am I? I used to be an international fugitive, then I was a cheerleader for Dan Fouts' team, before changing my first name to Gina and moving to Hollywood.
1000: I once was a sailor on a somewhat obscure warship active in World War II. I later played alongside Ken Stabler and searched for a biblical relic with Karen Allen, but that search instead led me to the western end of the Champs-Elysees.

NBA is STILL locked out of Before, During & After
This was a fun exercise! With the NBA season still locked out, here are some fun little basketball-oriented tidbits for you. Note that the team nicknames in these may be singular or plural.
200: Kareem Abdul-Jabaar and Oscar Robertson partnered with Nabisco to sell crackers made from a soba noodle ingredient.
400: Tim Duncan decides, on a whim, to resist a physical change in rotation.
600: Karl Malone's secret pleasure was dancing to Bob Fosse showtunes, but listening to Jonathan Edwards' sermon made him feel like such a "Sinner."
800: Chris Webber's teammates included a recent Record of the Year Grammy recipient and an Obama Cabinet member.
1000: As an owner, Michael Jordan requires his players to read Kurt Vonnegut and time-travel to prehistoric Iraq.

Re: NFL is not locked out of Before & After
nserven and JTrivial did have the correct answers for all of mine. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, mainly because of using the plural form of the team names, which made me have to cheat a little on a couple of them by blending words together. Using the singular form of the team name should open up a lot more options, but I can't even crack one of JTrivial's NBA clues. The NBA parts I know, but the & After parts all left me scratching my head.

Re: NFL is not locked out of Before & After
I thought I'd give this post a bump since no one has offered any of the NBA Before & After clues. I suspect that it got lost in the shuffle.

Re: NFL is not locked out of Before & After
It looks like NoName84 has all of them correct, except he cut the 1000 answer off a little early.
I was trying to use the city name before the team name, so I didn't realize that there were going to be two additional clues after the NBA team name. That is why I couldn't solve any of them before, but after seeing some of NoName's answers I realized the pattern and was able to get close on some of the others.

NoName did indeed get the answers, and jeff finished off the last one. I was hoping to get the city names in there, but you get the idea. To recap, the answers were:
200: Milwaukee BuckWheat Thins
400: San Antonio Spur of the Moment of Interia
600: Utah Jazz Hands of an Angry God
800: Sacramento Kings of Leon Panetta
1000: Charlotte Bobcat's Cradle of Civilization
