I have added this game to the archive and decided to set up its own thread instead of hiding it in the usual thread since it was such a great game. Plus I thought the outcome and how it got there was interesting and perhaps worthy of dicussion.

SOUTHERN WRITERS

VENUSIAN MONOLOGUES/MARTIAN CHRONICLES
Four-fifths for first place. Shore's Conjecture.
Ben: Wager $17,201 to cover Elizabeth. If you feel like using Shoretegy, try wagering $1,201.
Elizabeth: Try wagering $3,199, which is as much as you can put up against Ben without being usurped by a doubled score on the part of Scott.
Scott: There's no way you can cover a rational wager by Elizabeth, but if Elizabeth decides for some reason to wager everything, you can eke out a win on a Triple Stumper if you wager no more than $4,000.

FINAL JEOPARDY! CLUE
He said, "My own little postage stamp of native soil was worth writing about...I would never...exhaust it"

FINAL SCORES
Scott: $8,000 + $7,995 = $15,995 (Who is Faulkner Faulkner?) (3rd place: trip to Orlando, Florida)
Elizabeth: $19,200 + $19,199 = $38,399 (Who is Faulkner?) (2nd place: trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica)
Ben: $21,200 + $17,200 = $38,400 (Who was Faulkner?) (3-day champion: $79,600)
...
(Alex: And we go to Elizabeth. She had 19,200. [*] there? Yes. Wager? 19,199. If you become champion today you will set a new 1-day record. It's all up to Ben now, our champion. He had 21,200. He picked [*] also. And his wager? The margin is going to be one dollar [reaction from audience] over Elizabeth. You'da been tied. Ben Sternberg now has a 3-day total of $79,600 and the new 1-day record for "Jeopardy!")

That must have been fun to watch. Really bad bet by her in FJ. While going all in from second isn't usually a good idea, it is much better than holding back a dollar.

I'd have gone all in on a DD about presidents.

Is Mamie Eisenhowser's favorite soap opera that well known or did the Clue Crew video show a clip of the opening credits with the spinning globe.

A minor correction that needs to be made. The next episode, which was already archived apparently, shows his total winnings as $41,200 rather than $79,600.

Again, thanks for spending your summer vacation updating the archive.

The TOM for Mamie was "revolved" and there was no extra hint in the video presentation.

It's one of those archive things with games put in out of order. I went to Ben #4 and the FJ! Round. I did nothing other than access it and click edit, but that was enough to generate the correct 3-day total. Thanks. One Clue Crew clue in 60 plus three good players made that game a good experience to rewatch and archive.
