I was actually pleased with my FJ get rate, but my miss on the Florida/Georgia DD was one of my most embarrassing misses ever. I live in Florida, like geography, and I know the exit numbers on I-10 across North Florida well enough that it should have been a slam dunk.

Was spoiled on Tuesday's FJ before I saw the question.

San Juan on Wed.

Clammed on Winnebago; forgot the category.

All of my FJ gets were instant or nearly so.
On Friday, I was 0-for-5 in Books. At least 4 other boardies mentioned that they were also 0-for-5 in this category.
I got 232 clues right and 9 clues wrong for the week.

I meant to include that in the poll, but I forgot.

2 for 5 on Kid's Week.

Rumours of my senility are now substantiated.

Monday: I could've taken 100 guesses and never gotten Big Bird. I've just never known the way to Sesame Street.

Tuesday: No guess. Briefly thought "wait, who rules England? Can't think of who that is, so it's probably not right anyway." Brain, stop doing that.

Wednesday: San Juan

Conditional yes on TDD box if only because I have yet to see a TDD from the lead backfire. At least IMO it seems that the only people willing to try that are the people who have the knowledge base to back it up.

To be fair, almost none of the I-10 exits west of I-75 have anything to do with GA or AL.

A few seconds delinquent on Winnebago.
Surprised so many found the Wed clue a trap.

Surprised at the Florida clue, as Alabama and Georgia seemed to be pretty even (no not one clearly over the other), needless to say my coin flipped wrong

Predicting 100% for Friday (but, since it's Kids Week, I think it'll be excluded from any records the board keeps)

I agree, on the surface, that more people should do a TDD like Roger Craig Cerulean, basically because it's good television, and, more than anything, that is the overarching goal of Jeopardy! Productions, but *should* they go TDD more in situations like that? Possibly not. Confidence in the category is always the key deciding factor, and, as always, when considering a TDD, scores always have to be considered (as well as what's left on the board). But, it's great TV, and that's what they want. Keep that in mind.

Oh, and edited to say very nice job on the poll, countyguy, I had absolutely no idea it wasn't Mark until I saw the thread describing Mark's modem malaise afterwards. Incredible job, you can get a job as a professional MarkBarrett impersonator.

I definitely got at least one in that, because E.L. Konigsburg is one of a few authors to get two Newbery Medals, and The View from Saturday is one (although I've never read it, it has a memorable title that stuck with me). (From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler is her other winner.)
edit: I also got Magyk, aided entirely by the ToM and not at all by any knowledge of the book.

My first ever 5/5, and probably last one until perhaps next years kid's week.

After all my TD entries where I rarely make it in the top half, in the last few weeks I've been on the podium twice, so this has been a pretty good run!

I can't believe I had a worse get rate for kids jeopardy than the regular adults week before it.

At least, considering my height, when it's all over I'll look like a certain 8'2" character who made his debut in 1969 and is still going strong
