Creation

2: The first created being in this mythology is a jotun or frost giant named Ymir.

4: After several unsatisfactory attempts, the Mayan gods created humans from this plant and were pleased.

6: Because his brother had already given away all the positive traits to the various animals, this Titan stole fire and gave it to mankind.

8: This sun goddess, from which the Japanese royal family claims descent, was born from Izanagi's left eye.

10: This day in which dry land first appeared is considered auspicious by Jews because, according to Genesis 1,"God saw that it was good" twice on that day.

3: The European variation of this game has slightly better odds than the American version, which adds double zero (00) to the possible results.

6: The Rio in Las Vegas hosts this premier set of card tournaments, which in 2015 offered 68 different events.

9: In craps, this number is known as "yo", to avoid confusion with another number that usually ends a shooter's turn.

12: At many blackjack tables, the dealer will hit when showing an Ace and a six, a total known as this "delicate" type of 17.

15: Gong, Wong, and Gee Joon are terms in this domino game, first played around the turn of the second millennium.
