I'm on tonight's (12/21/15) episode! But I must admit to only being a casual lurker.

Hey, I have a LLama/boardie question: How common is it for someone to compete on Jeopardy! while in E rundle? 'Cause I just did that, and it highlighted for me how different these two competitions are.

Former ToC member Kara Spak is an E rundler. Former College Tournament finalist Hans von Walter has been an E rundler at times. One of the chasers from Germany's version of The Chase, Sebastian Klussman, is about to be relegated into an E rundle for the second time in his career. There is no shame in being an E rundler, you're in good company.

Indeed, LL is quite different from J!, J! typically has the same core of questions, and there's often a TOM there. LL [TPH]could literally be anything[/TPH] but you have more time to work out the question. Gameplay is vastly different too.
In short, it's quite possible to study for J! (the mythical "answer book" doesn't exist, though), less so for LL. As a persistent middle-of-the-pack D rundler in the pool, I'm happy for this.

I'm in E rundle, and I played at least two former J! contestants last season. I don't think it's that unusual.

I'm a D rundler (well I was in C twice but it went poorly) and got cast, so obviously it doesn't matter. And some great LLamas do badly on Jeopardy - the buzzer especially makes it a totally different game.
