hard to go wrong with any of Cobb/Wagner, Williams/Musial, or Carew/Gwynn. It seems natural that both are named for players from a similar era.
It's also interesting that so many of the players with the most batting titles played their entire career in one league. The top 10 are Ty Cobb, Tony Gwynn, Honus Wagner, Rod Carew, Rogers Hornsby, Stan Musial, Ted Williams, Wade Boggs, and Nap Lajoie. Only Lajoie's first 5 seasons and Hornsby's last 4 seasons were played in the opposite league.

No matter whether it's Mattingly or Roberts at the helm or whether he is on the Mets or the Nats the Dodgers keeping letting the same guy hurt them. Make the guy eat dirt.
