Vinny: 19500
Beth: 10500
Jack: 2500

Combined: 32500

Overall leaderboard if it matters for any kind of season-ending finals:
Spoiler
Vinny Varadarajan - 3 wins & $15,000 *still active (19001+30000+18999)
Ron Freshour - 2 wins & $10,000 (7750+17750)
Ray Nhan - 2 wins & $10,000 (11250+20500)
A miss for me as I did not pick up on how important "electric" was in the clue's wording. Instead I went for something sporting that began in the 1800s and wrote America's Cup since I liked anything tennis or golf team-related even less for a guess.

Beth got me twice. First she brought up her Packer fan credentials including mentioning Aaron Rodgers and then she mentioned Dot (blanking on her name cost me a category run in my 2nd J! game) Richardson.

Good for Beth for making a strong wager in a situation that regular J! players may not always recognize.

After pondering it for a minute I figured out why electric was included, but dang, that's still a devilish level of required detail. (I was thinking a championship in the correct sport.)

And on the flip side, I figured out the scoreboard immediately...and then tried to get -more- specific before locking it in.
"Well, what event would have a score like that..."

20,250 (new personal high of 26 R, 2 W). "Homes of the Braves" was a very good category, even though they've called "only" three cities home.
I went with "World Series" for FJ, because I knew there were other contests called a "World Series" prior to the inaugural AL-NL matchup in 1903. The clue didn't say it was just one game. At least I got the right sport.
Hoping for a third lap

Headslap on the scoreboard clue...

I figured it had to be the year on the bottom half, and first thought Olympics know that was the right year for it... But I tossed it out because I think of the Olympics as a summer event, not an April event. Had nothing else, though...

Instaget on the final and was amazed at the guesses by the players. Both football and baseball existed before 1880 and the first college bowl was the 1902 Tournament of Roses Bowl, making those guesses impossible. The electric company sponsor should have served as a clue, but it didn't seem to enter the players' heads.

Mark, thanks for coming up with good clues for the Scoreboard puzzle. Before you started doing it, I was finding it very difficult to try and us Google to figure it out. I also figured out that it was a date, but needed a couple of clues to figure it out.

As for this weeks Final Jeopardy, I actually got it! I rarely get SJ FJ, but I correctly honed in on the electric TOM and guessed that it had to be at night and guessed the correct sport.

It was weird watching this... I'll never watch this show the same way again. And now I miss being there and playing it.

I had to not watch for a few weeks to get it out of my system before I was ready to watch the show from home again.

I had guessed the Beanpot for FJ. I thought there might've been some advance made in electric cooling that they could have used to keep the ice from melting. Also, best of retroactive luck to heelsrule1988.

I fell behind in watching this and am just now getting around to seeing the ones I missed. Good job by Vinny. Beth put up a good fight, could have used some help from Jack. I knew from her interview that being a Minnesota resident and a Packer fan/owner would not sit well with a certain boardie.

I guessed World Series for FJ. I know it started in 1903 but I think the term had been used prior to that. I did get the scoreboard right.

I'm going to try to catch up by next week's game. Can someone tell me (without saying how he did) what episode is heelsrule's debut?

Every show from December 30 on. Regardless of whether I win or not, they decided to keep me on forever because I'm just so lovable.
