The Rankest Thread Imaginable

Maybe not that bad. As people may have noticed, the Board software can automatically assign you a 'Rank' according to the number of times you've posted. In the alternative, like RandyG, I can assign a specific Rank to people. I am going to propose that the following can be used: Jeopardy TOC'er (for those esteemed folks among us), Jeopardy Champion (for those lucky enough to have won a game), Jeopardy Contestant (those who appeared on the show but didn't win), Swimmer in the Pool (for those who have current high hopes), and About to Be Jeopardy Champion (for the rest of us). If you would like to have one of these assigned to you, or even a custom one like 'Village Idiot', please post here and I'll get around to changing you. And sorry, but JBoarder of the Month is currently unavailable. Hopefully you'll like this idea.

I'm a Swimmer: Online test in February, L.A. audition in April, THE CALL in August (but couldn't accept due to a schedule conflict on the requested tape date). (Which I guess makes it A CALL rather than THE CALL.) (And it wasn't very much advanced notice, so I assume they were trying to fill a last-minute spot with someone who's semi-local [San Diego].)

So sitting by the phone again ...

(Actually, in hindsight I'm sort of glad I wasn't able to take the August date because I most likely would have come up against Joon, and I'm not sure how well that would have worked out for me [not that it wouldn't have been fun to meet him as he seems like a great guy - Congrats, Joon, btw, in case you're seeing this!].)

Well, currently I'm "Moderator Extraordinaire", which is a total load, as I'm not "extraordinaire" at anything, really (especially moderating, as I just got the job and haven't had time yet to implement any nefarious schemes).

AtBJC is probably the best descriptor of me - perpetual test-taker, but I haven't even been asked to audition, so I don't think that that even technically makes me a "pool swimmer", does it?

Of course, if Ken Jennings ever joins our board, he should have a rank of "Ken Jennings".
