Re: TD 295 - A Tribute to Prince - QUESTION 1 Revealed!

Post by dinghammer »

On the first series of Big Brother UK I watched, a terrible Irish rapper freaked out when the Fruit & Nut bar he wanted wasn't with the weekly food/supplies shipment. It really made the name stick in my mind. I've seen them in at least one store that sells British stuff, but I've never eaten one. The only other obscure one I could think of was Aero, but I thought it would be more likely that other people might put it because I've seen them in US supermarkets. I had to google "british chocolate bar with golden center" just now to find the name of the one I'd been trying to think of -- Crunchie. Those are good.

Same here on the first part. I'm not scared about the 2nd part because (since it was after I submitted my entry) I gave a quick glance at what others said and I'm not going to do terribly - unless our host negs my berry response, but I'm prepared to defend my choice (but I think Marvin Berry would have been a great answer).

I can tell you that my answers to 5 and 6 were *almost* identical.

My first instinct was snozzberry, but I was afraid our host would echo Veruca Salt:

I considered answering either Chuck or Marvin Berry, but I didn't have the guts to do it.

I did.

I just hope the Berry question didn't lead too many to think of Halle Berry for nr. 6.

Well, Marionberry has two meanings, depending on whether you put a space in the middle.

I believe it's traditional to post a link like this when someone says something like this.

I love Crunchie bars!

My son gave me a Godiva dark chocolate bar with sea salt for Mother's Day, so it was fresh in my mind when I submitted my answers.

Question 2

A lot more singletons! This reveal will be much slower than usual, since it takes quite a bit longer to process so many unique answers!

A few wrong answers, but luckily since the sheeps are so low, the penalty isn't horrendous. :D

The other ones I considered were Faith No More, Rollins Band, and Black Flag (well, and Nirvana and RHCP, but there was no way I was going to put either of those). I didn't think of REM until this afternoon.

After I answered this quiz, I immediately knew Maroon 5 was wrong and I can't even give a good reason why I wrote that!
