If I'm watching anything when this is on, its usually Community. So I have only a tangential knowledge of these characters, of whom Leonard seems to be the least stereotypical. What I have seen, I haven't liked all that much.
I'm sure Jim Parsons is a wonderful person who is good to his mother, but does Sheldon deserve an Emmy? Seriously?
Life IS pain, Princess. Anyone telling you differently is selling something.
Tom: As someone who is much more a Community fan (and I'm lukewarm on BBT): yes. Jim Parsons/Sheldon carries the show. Sure, I was rooting hard for Steve Carell for this last Emmy, but Parsons is in the conversation.
My wife likes the show (I don't - it hits too close to home in a lot of areas!)
I answered Sheldon because that's who she says I am like. (My usual retort to that is to gently knock on her head as one would on a door and say "Penny.... Penny.... Penny....")
Eh, different strokes. Remedial Chaos Theory from Community was probably the best sitcom episodes (non Parks and Recreation division) I have seen in the past couple years.
I'm not at all comfortable with how much I relate to Sheldon.
(And I just realized I accidentally voted myself a Leonard which was dumb so maybe I'm actually more of a Penny. Then again, this dithering is awfully Raj-like...)
I don't find this show even slightly funny. My family says it's because it hits too close to home. The last time someone told me that was when Napoleon Dynamite came out . . . this means I'm a Sheldon, doesn't it?

Given your moniker, maybe you identify more with the show's title.
