Re: TD 318 - Trivial Trivia - QUESTION 9 UPDATED

Post by flutist319 »

Doesn't the fact that it's the top 15 lemmas rather than words make the question easier, not harder? That is, it turns out that there are more than 15 things you could say that are right answers.

Congrats to Woppy T!

I apologize for the "lousy" TD. I made a mistake in including a question. It happens. Berating me or complaining won't change anything. I stand by my ruling. I appreciate everyone who entered.

I am confused if you accept Margrethe II for Denmark instead of Lars Rasmussen then Trudeau would be incorrect for Canada and Elizabeth II or her representative David Johnson should be the answer

I believe that he would accept both. Thanks for running this TD, Armandillo. I'm sorry that problems arose, but I always appreciate the effort that goes into crafting a TD.

No such thing as a "lousy" TD. I'll take a win any way I can get it, Thanks for the game!

And just out of curiosity, what was the advice that led you to count In Our Time as a novel? I'm a big Hemingway fan, and I just don't see it.

Congratulations to this week's winners! I'm awarding each of you a virtual IPA (the beer police frown on sending real IPAs online).

And a tip of the hat to Armandillo, who stepped in on short notice to host a TD upon noticing there wasn't going to be a game last week. Thanks!

*starts mulling an idea for a parasite themed TD...*
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

A fellow TD master advised me that since it's fiction and I was going to be generous with results, I should count it as a novel.

Wouldn't it have been funny if the sheepshead had been the sheep in this question?
