He got kicked off of LearnedLeague shortly afterward for violating
rule 18.4 in the wake of some postings about the terrorism in France last year.

Well, both that and the other part of 18.4, viz. if you're kicked off another community (e.g. jboard) for abuse, you're kicked out of LL. But since they kind of happened at the same time ...
So, seriously, don't be a jerk here, it has repercussions outside the board too.
