I got an invite for San Antonio on March 14th! Now the paranoid freak in me is making sure I did it all right/not being hoaxed...does the email come from spe.sony.com, and do you just respond to it to RSVP?

The contestant coordinators will spend anywhere between three and five days typically in audition cities, depending on whether they are conducting auditions for the adults, teens, students or a combination of the three. When I auditioned in Kansas City in the summer of 2011, it was a Monday and they were on day three of five in KC.

NOT too bad that you don't get to travel. And it's not so much about the money. Being local eliminates from happening so many possibly unfortunate things that are out of your control.

Just got my invite for March 20 in Tampa. First invite for me!

Needless to say, I'm exited. Question for those that have been in this situation before - Am I allowed to tell my friends I scored an audition (specifically, my wife wanted to tell people on Facebook)? I know various late-stage parts of the process are supposed to be kept quiet, and I figured one of the many folks here would know.

I think you're allowed to talk about getting an audition (note that there's a thread for that here, but people don't post about getting The Call until after they get back).

I tried out for the College Championship so I may or may not get a callback before a week from Wednesday. If I do, does that mean I'm not allowed to tell anyone I'll be on the show?

I think they generally tell you what you are and aren't allowed to reveal/tell/share. For example, during the regular auditions they asked us not to pass along any of the clues they used on the qualifying test.

I'll be in San Antonio on the 14th as well. My second time reaching an audition after making one in Chicago back in 2007. I think I'm more interesting now than I was back then, so hopefully that helps...
