My replacement game for Sony Rewards

Post by BobF »

I'm ready to unveil it, and here is the URL:

http://mysite.verizon.net/vze10zwu7/Jeopardy.htm

Unfortunately, no prizes like the MP3 player I was able to get for my son. :(

Plus, it requires javascript enabled on your browser.

But, you can play games back to June 1 (although the game at load time will pick the most recent 12 you haven't played).

It's got a timer to give higher scores to people who get the answer most quickly.

It allows you to play double jeopardies as well.

Usually I'll update it on a daily basis, but with this week being the kids' tournament (and the peak of berry picking season in my back yard) I'll only update it at the end of the week this week. Oops, just found out it's not kids week, I'll have to watch the episode I taped last night (but missed the Jeopardy round).

I'm interested in feedback (and the double jeopardies from 7/6).

It looks great (thanks for coming up with something like this!), but I'm clicking the dates and nothing is coming up...

(I'm using Google Chrome. I'm pretty sure I have Javascript enabled, but I could be mistaken.)

Simplest way to tell if Javascript is enabled is to click the "How to play" link and see if instructions come up.

If they do, I suspect the algorithm I'm using to get the categories from XML files doesn't work in Chrome - I may have to do some research to get it to be able to do that.

Yeah, the instructions came up fine.

Bump, only because I've made a bit of progress for users with the Chrome browser. It'll give you a better idea of how the game works, but I've got to fix an error that's keeping the Q&A from showing.
