The poll has been posted. It's just about 5 Pacific DST.

Thus endeth the entries. Here is a summary. Please note that these are not the *actual* points, they are the points each person would receive if the average of the entries was the correct percentage. Kind of like crowd sourcing. The actual points will be determined next week when the next poll is posted, and we will consider this week's poll to be closed. It looks like I might have blown it by guessing way too low for Friday's, but at the moment I'm nearly right on the money for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's. Maybe I've finally found my calling...

Well, given the current results, Jeff, you're in the lead. Are you ^%J#)! happy now??? Followed by alietr, then a tie between econgator and the Crowd.

Hey, I've never gotten to type that sequence before! Not even during Kids' Week! I told you, I've finally found my calling. I may not be able to get FJs right myself, but I can damn sure tell you how many other people are going to get them.

After 75 votes, alietr has regained the lead, with jeff6286 in 2nd, and Fowlerism in 3rd. Last week's poll had 93 entries, so we're rounding the far turn.

Well, if my calculations are correct, alietr and I are currently tied for the lead, with Fowlerism edging out econgator for 3rd place. 94 votes have been cast, and I guess if no one else votes in the next 5-6 hours, we will have co-champions of the inaugural edition of this contest.

I suppose if we want to play again this week, people should submit their entries before this week's poll is posted, usually around 8:00 Eastern.

A close second (third?) goes to the Groupthink, followed by Fowlerism and then econgator. By the way, if you take out the two outliers (sorry, Paucle and Bamaman), then the Groupthink would have been the winner. Thanks for playing, and I guess we'll see if we can make this a regular JBoard feature.
