Re: Reretaken Down
I didn't know these students were going to my alma mater, Humboldt State. Sad.

Re: Reretaken Down
Oh how I have missed the boards, and think differently. I used to be on the sonypictures board and when it shut down I was lost. Every so often I would do a search for boards or names that I could recall. Well tonight that urge to seek out the boards again paid off. I found this and familiar names. Not knowing when I will enter a TD, I decided to get my first of three post in and this thread seemed like a hodge podge. Forgive me if It is not.

Re: Reretaken Down
Since J! likes clues about social media logos, what are the ones in this comic?
This was from a few weeks ago. Why is it so common to see the outdated $100 - $500 board values. Do writers live in a bubble?

Re: Reretaken Down
I figured out all the logos except for the red one below G+
And the second one: different game, Mark- only 4 rows of clues, and no ! on the name!

Spoiler alert, "worst film of all time" is, apparently, Heaven's Gate.
Have these people not heard of Manos? Plan 9? Ecks vs. Sever? Catwoman? Heck, even The Girlfriend Experience?

For reasons I can't figure out, it's part of the Criterion Collection (#636 on this list).Volante wrote:http://www.theverge.com/2014/4/28/56616 ... e-with-his

Re: Reretaken Down
It's not actually a bad film. It just had the production from hell...and Michael Cimino is batshit insane and not in the delightful Kubrickian way either.Magna wrote:For reasons I can't figure out, it's part of the Criterion Collection (#636 on this list).Volante wrote:http://www.theverge.com/2014/4/28/56616 ... e-with-his

Had Cimino stuck to the initial $10ish mil budget rather than balloon that into $40 mil (in 1980 dollars) we'd likely be looking back on Heaven's Gate moderately well. It's no Deer Hunter, but it's not LXG either.

Re: Reretaken Down
I usually quiet down when my wife comes in when I watch. I'm surprised at the number of people (seborgium and TPH come immediately to mind) who have said in the past that a family member blurted out the answer to FJ while they watched (especially in seaborgium's case, as his said family member has been on the show!), if my wife is watching and wants to try FJ, I ask her to write it down (as I do unless it's an instaget) that way it's not spoiled and you can prove your answer after the think music.alietr wrote:[cartoon]
