Also, all those youtube clips of pelicans eating pigeons. Whole. While alive.
Pelicans also moonlight as PIs to reunite family.

I was definitely unaware of what a badass the pelican is. Here are some images of their new logos. It looks pretty fearsome.
Here's a proposed version that was pictured in the deadspin article linked above. I think it's even better than the one they went with.

No, you can clearly see his ball.

Agreed. I like the one they did go with, but this one is better.

I guess they could have called themselves the fleur-de-lis (lises?).

At least he had the pronunciation correct.

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

Personally, I hate pea soup but figure there are enough groupies here that someone might try it:

For those (like me) trying to learn their presidents and facts about them, this actually does a very good job of getting a lot of information into one easy graphic:

You never know what the J! writers can come up with for a category. Is there a fifth winter/spring prognosticator to join:
Punxsutawney Phil
Wiarton Willie
Staten Island Chuck
General Beauregard Lee

I think that there's another Canadian one, but that might not sit well with all of you USians.
And I certainly hope that ol' Willie is right this time. He seems to get it wrong each time he predicts an early spring.

Every area that would feasibly have its own weather different from Wiarton, ON would have its own groundhog: Shubenacadie Same, Balzac Billy, Brandon Bob, etc. I'm convinced, however, that Manitoba Merv has his shadow painted by his hole in big neon paint, he doesn't ever need to ignore his shadow around here.

So, can anyone explain how Michael Strahan and Jerome Bettis fail to get into the HoF? I'm baffled.

A cap on the number of individuals who can be voted in to any given class and an utterly antiquated and convoluted voting process.
