Re: Season 29 Coryats Thread (SPOILERS)
I have a question that's probably relevant to this thread:
People who track your Coryat scores, do you bother tracking your Coryat scores in the Teen Tournament?
Or, is the switch to "easier" material significant enough that it makes it much less meaningful to do so?
I mean, I'm guessing most of us would get higher Coryats during the Teen Tournament than during the "regular" show. And if that's true, then we shouldn't misinterpret our Coryats during the TT as indicating how we "really" tend to do.
But that doesn't necessarily mean "Don't bother tracking your Coryats at all." One might continue to do so, but just take them with the appropriate grain of salt.

I do not plan on tracking my Coryats during the Teen Tournament. I may even skip some of the Teen Tournament shows.

Re: Season 29 Coryats Thread (SPOILERS)
I keep doing it mostly because I prefer no gaps in my records. I also tag them tho...to wit, here's some from last year:skullturf wrote:I have a question that's probably relevant to this thread:

Re: Season 29 Coryats Thread (SPOILERS)
I've been tracking coryats since March of 2011. In fact, I started right after a teen tourny. I'll keep track of my score with the teens, but I don't include them in my averages to see if I am improving. I keep a rolling average at about every 25 show increments. When I first started my rolling average was right around 16,000. I'm over 20,000 now, my average for the last 22 shows was just over 21,600. It's the highest month I've ever had, and probably still about 5,000 short of where I need to be if I where to be able to get on the show and be competative. To include the teens would mess the averages up. I do include the teachers tourney, and those games are normally a little bit easier, but not as easy as the teens. I actually broke 40,000 on one of the teen games in May of last year. To give you an idea, I've only broken 30000 twice in regular game play.
