Re: Who's Special #4 (Questions now posted!!!)
Ha ha, very well played on the Springfield/Springsteen question, Bamaman!
My thinking on that one was pretty much this: "Hmm. Hmmmmm. Well, Rick Springfield sang in the 1980s, and was on General Hospital -- I guess that's the TOM -- and his name kinda sorta could be confused for Bruce Springsteen, but in all the other responses the names are nearly identical. Gee, not sure about this one. Better clam."

Re: Who's Special #4 (Questions now posted!!!)
I have anecdotal evidence of a very serious multi-personnel name confusion between the two names from my box office work at Saratoga in 1984. (Or was it 1985?)

It's your BBQ, but you said specifically that the answers had to be exact, so I don't love that people who didn't know the slash got credit. Minor quibble.
Also, you posted in another thread, so is there more reveal coming?

Shoot, I definitely shouldn't have procrastinated...I hate to miss a game like this! (It didn't help that I thought the extended deadline was a little later. Dang time zones...) Sorry, Bamaman...it's not very great form for the host of the last game to miss out on playing in the next one.

Had absolutely nothing come to me for Springfield/Springsteen. I knew my Daily/ Daley was wrong about ten seconds after hitting 'enter'. PALEY not DALEY you dope! So it goes.

I would've been slightly better off piggybacking the dog category. My reaction to that Paley/Daily question was "oh s*** (I accidentally left that in my answer, sorry about that ), so much for sweeping that category", never heard of either guy.

Re: Who's Special #4 (Questions now posted!!!)
I totally brain farted, I guess. I didn't see my name listed as correct, then saw my wrong answer: Bill Daily and Bill Daley. "No, I'm sure I had William Paley. I even recited the Q and A to my brother after, and that's one he knew." But checked my outgoing and I did indeed replace Paley's P with a D. (Although I had his first name as William, not Bill as recorded here) Oops. Guess I shouldn't have rushed my entry, and taken at least 60 Minutes on it!

We should start a procrastinators club. Anyone interested, send me a PM! (Which I guess would sort of immediately disqualify you.)

Dogs were my second-worst category. It all goes uphill from there, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Who's Special #4 (Questions now posted!!!)
Dog Show Losers
None of these breeds have won the Best in Show Award at the Westminster Dog Show. Perhaps this will motivate them to get off their duff and win next year.
If my goal was to come up with questions challenging to dog experts, I failed miserably. Three specialists ran the category, as did four others.
The big questions is, why didn't Woof use this as his specialty?

That John Wesley Terrier one was kind of a lark. I figured this category deserved a WAG.
