My wife says I'm a lot like Sheldon, so I voted for him. But I have no idea why she would think that, do you?

Re: Big Bang Theory Poll
If I'm watching anything when this is on, its usually Community. So I have only a tangential knowledge of these characters, of whom Leonard seems to be the least stereotypical. What I have seen, I haven't liked all that much.
I'm sure Jim Parsons is a wonderful person who is good to his mother, but does Sheldon deserve an Emmy? Seriously?

Life IS pain, Princess. Anyone telling you differently is selling something.

I think those who've met me would say I'm the most like Penny's ex-boyfriend Zack.

Tom: As someone who is much more a Community fan (and I'm lukewarm on BBT): yes. Jim Parsons/Sheldon carries the show. Sure, I was rooting hard for Steve Carell for this last Emmy, but Parsons is in the conversation.

I tried watching community once. Got through about half the episode and turned it off.

Re: Big Bang Theory Poll
There's only one reason to watch Community (Alison Brie), and it's almost offset by the presence of Chevy Chase.
I guess I am most like Raj, except for the fear-of-women thing.

I said I've been watching BBT too much. I saw this one for the first time last night, and Penny had me rolling on the floor:

My wife likes the show (I don't - it hits too close to home in a lot of areas!)
I answered Sheldon because that's who she says I am like. (My usual retort to that is to gently knock on her head as one would on a door and say "Penny.... Penny.... Penny....")

Eh, different strokes. Remedial Chaos Theory from Community was probably the best sitcom episodes (non Parks and Recreation division) I have seen in the past couple years.

Approximate dialogue
Penny: Would I have seen anything you've written?
Guy: That depends on how much time you spend on Yelp.
Good episode tonight with great lines about Star Wars and Lucas.

Where are Cheech and Chong?
Oh, wait... That would be "Big Bong Theory"

Re: Big Bang Theory Poll
I'm not at all comfortable with how much I relate to Sheldon.
(And I just realized I accidentally voted myself a Leonard which was dumb so maybe I'm actually more of a Penny. Then again, this dithering is awfully Raj-like...)

I voted Leonard, but would have voted Sheldon when I was younger.

I was just watching an older espisode and noticed that Raj has the same telescope I do. I am not, however, Raj-like.

Re: Big Bang Theory Poll
I don't find this show even slightly funny. My family says it's because it hits too close to home. The last time someone told me that was when Napoleon Dynamite came out . . . this means I'm a Sheldon, doesn't it?
Re: Big Bang Theory Poll
I voted "no idea" because a.) I only watch the show sporadically, and b.) I don't really see too much of me in any of the characters.

Given your moniker, maybe you identify more with the show's title.TenPoundHammer wrote:I voted "no idea" because a.) I only watch the show sporadically, and b.) I don't really see too much of me in any of the characters.

Um... No. It'd never fly.
