That's the first I've ever heard of us celebrating QEII's birthday. It is called Victoria Day after all.

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

I figure Canadian Heritage should be an official enough source for it ...

Maybe they had to do that because Queen Elizabeth didn't have a birthday in 1952. But you'd think by 1953, they'd've gotten it right.

It looked like security was busy in the background with the celebration going on in front. Did it have something to do with Santana not having a hat on? I have cable and I was on the phone with a friend who has a dish. My TV was seven seconds ahead and it was hard not to give anything away and react during the ninth inning.

I saw one person run on the field and get tackled by security when he got about halfway to the pitcher's mound. After being congratulated by a mob of players on the mound, Santana stepped out and raised his cap to the crowd, so he was definitely wearing one at that point. That's about when the free feed on mlb.com cut out, so I don't know what happened to the cap after that. Maybe someone from the Hall of Fame happened to be at the game and asked for it.

I'm considering creating software to run the SHC this summer. If I do create it, I should have it on GitHub. I can also probably find a server to host it, too.

By the way, does anyone know what permissions are needed to create new topics or send PMs? I can't seem to be able to do so.

Thanks, econgator! Seems to be the best site yet for that data. Simple and utile. Most of the others are all busy/ ad-ed up.
Seems academic for me anyway. Weather calls for overcast skies ... probably obscured by low level clouds... and fog to boot. All we need is Ballston building a roof over the town.

I've got my solar filter for my telescope built and ready, and I'm hoping it clears up by this evening so I don't need to watch it on a webcast ...
