I purchased an excellent 1950s book of opera summaries a few years back and learned quite a bit from it. But I never finished the book, as it got packed away during a move. The operas were arranged alphabetically, and I stopped somewhere around the letter P. So I tend to have difficulty with clues involving Turandot and La Traviata.

When you saw the Jeopardy clue about the Icelandic volcano, did you think of the SNL skit with Kenan playing Steve Harvey, hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? I laughed my head off when I first watched him try to pronounce the volcano's name.

I got the FJ on Friday. I wish J had more real knowledge clues like this one- as opposed to these word-play, what did you just read in the newspaper, can you think of a famous person fast enough kind of clues which seem to prevail today.

I don't watch SNL, so I had no idea about the funny skit. Iceland is at 2:00

Teachers: 5-5
Teen: 6-4
Power Players: 4-1

I was glad Friday was one I had no chance on, would have really been ticked if going with China had cost me a 5/5 week. I put the volcano park in Alaska.

I'm not going to be around when the new poll gets posted ... can someone put the results into the Guesstimania thread when the new one goes up? Thanks. Unless something significant changes, it looks like jeff6286 will be adding another notch to his belt.
