Around half. Although they didn't really know what an interrobang is. They said it was this ?! but it's this ‽ Yes, it can be represented by the separate items, but why do it that way when you can use the actual punctuation mark, which the video should've been able to do? I thought they were going to start out with the separation then meld them together into the one.Vanya wrote:How many did you know?

Re: Reretaken Down
The grocery chain where I shop has "thank you" written in big bold letters in about 15 languages on their "exiting wall." They don't ID the language, they just have the various "Thank yous!" (Arigato, merci, gracias, grazie, etc) I kept looking for "spasibo" and wondered why they didn't have it.Vanya wrote:С днём рождения, Валентина Терешкова
I don't know how long it was before I realized that Chinese and Arabic weren't the only languages that wouldn't use our alphabet. (And yes, it's there.)

Shucks, the Dailymotion guy shut down and I missed Thursday's episode. Anyone know another way I can watch it? Or I guess I can wait for it to go up on the archive.

Since I always enjoy meeting Boardies and will be traveling next week ... if there's anyone in Tucson, San Luis Obispo, Colorado Springs, Lafayette, Corpus Christi, or Lexington ... drop me a line.

Anyone going to the ThinkGeek trivia night in Vienna, VA on Thursday? It's sold out, but if any DC folks have already gotten tickets, let me know. We'll have a couple of J! people on our team and it would be cool to meet people.

I won't be there, but I live in Delaware, and my girlfriend (who's also a trivia person) lives in Silver Spring, MD.jfrumkin wrote:Anyone going to the ThinkGeek trivia night in Vienna, VA on Thursday? So even though I'm unavailable for this particular event, I am generally interested in hearing about trivia events in the DC area.
