Wow, that was a painful mental coin flip. Reggae Boyz vs Boyz N the Hood.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

Re: Fourth Podium Poll for 11/15/2019 - Friday TOC (SPOILERS)
Seems as if the BMS would have been better off as an "oh, sorry" and let another contestant have a chance at it. The BMS implied he was on the right track with "liquor" and needed to specify a type.

I knew Seattle U partly because I grew up in Pacific NW, and also because their soccer team recently played the local d1 team in my current town.

Wasn't going to get FJ ever-geography was never my strong point, and I thought it was clumsily worded as well.
I'm more amazed by the wagering in FJ. That. Was. Interesting.

Re: TD 425: O-H-I-O (Questions 1-3 Revealed)
I assumed the colleges and university question related to Ohio schools, but then I recognized Yale and got confused. Drop! Morbeedo, that worked out well for you! I used to work at Yale (and was the one who commented on the negbait of BYU). My thinking was that Yale's official crest isn't used in b...

Not a Columbia alum, but have frequented the area on most of my trips to NYC. Couldn't recall if Amsterdam and Morningside were streets, drives, or avenues! Luckily it all worked out.

So after submitting my entry, I read an article which mentioned FAANG. Doesn't always pay to enter these things too early. It did confirm that one of my guesses was correct, however.

Re: Dressing for the microphone
Essentially the techs work around what you are wearing. I don't know if things have changed since my appearances in 2012, but the mic was clipped near my shoulder and the cord was run down my back (underneath my dress). So, wearing a jacket or sweater alleviates that issue. That being said, Mitch wa...

I thought Modus Operandi would sheep (it's the first thing I thought of when seeing the clue title). Never change, TD, never change.floridagator wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 11:14 am

I didn't pick New Hampshire specifically due to the earlier discussion of the futility of the UNH MBB team. Thought it might sheep.

Re: The crisis in TDs
I generally have more free time to play in the summer (as well as the SHC). I liked Morbeedo's mini TD format-more accessible to those of us w/less free time to spend on the board, and Florida Gator's "Ring" cycle was incentive to play (and get my butt kicked) for awhile. However, I wouldn't have en...

... Any of the dollar amounts attached to the various versions is good. Good news - thanks! :) Bill Cullen hosted the syndicated $25,000 Pyramid from 1974 to 1979; the original network $10,000 Pyramid with Dick Clark premiered in 1973. Oops, that's right. Cullen hosted the original $25,000 version....
