Re: Wednesday, September 12, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Well, for the first three shows this season, all three contestants have gotten FJ right!

Has this happened before?

In any case, we shall see how much longer this perfect streak of everyone being right in FJ will continue.

Re: Reretaken Down

The first player from the very first year of Celebrity Jeopardy! in '92 to pass away. I was hoping he would have been around a little longer so all 15 of those celebrities could be back for a 25th anniversary week, and I even posted about it on the Jeopardy! Facebook page as well earlier this year. ...

Re: J! Archive suggestion

A few weeks back I was just thinking about the posts I made in this thread from some time ago, so I felt it was time for me to return to follow up. In addition to wanting archived games of the old Jeopardy spinoff shows "Jep!" and "Rock & Roll Jeopardy!", I would also be interested in archived games...

Re: Cindy Stowell

That's incredibly sad. Has that ever happened before? According to the show, she will be the first to appear after they died. But they also let Jeff Kirby come back, so their record keeping isn't the best. Yes, it is a sad but sweet story. I saw a report about it on the news. It was nice, but I sho...

Yep, she won her second game with $15,100, making her 2-day total $30,301, then lost to Barbara Walker on her 3rd day.

Re: Adult online tests coming in Jan 2016

Third attempt with the online test tonight. As usual, seeing I don't have a good amount of knowledge in most areas I didn't expect to do very good, and if my counting is right I don't think I got more than 15-20 right (no pun intended). But at least I once again had the experience of doing the test ...

Interesting to learn that Rachael Schwartz would begin her run the day after Venderbush's retirement in an all-newcomer show.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Forgive me JBoard if this message doesn't belong in this thread, but as I mentioned in my very first post to this forum, I have been compiling a list of all the J! episodes that have aired and am trying to get as much filled to the list as I can. Though I'm glad to fill some gaps in from the new old...

Having owned these two episodes on tape for a long time, not the exact same worded, but in ways the words switched around, for "Monday Monday" by The Mamas & The Papas.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Incidentally, Ronnie's site, as best as I can re-create it with the amount of time and energy I have, is back online . Brian As much as I hope to see the rest of these games filled into the Archive, it just now came to my mind that although the games from Ronnie's site had the scores at the first b...

Is the J! Hall of Fame still on their website somewhere? I remember seeing it (long ago, before the site crashed/was hacked/whatever happened) but I no longer see it there. http://www.jeopardy.com/showguide/halloffame/50kplus/ (though it hasn't been updated since the end of Season 29) I also keep a...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

It won't be this summer, but at some point I will have no more old regular games left and then it will be tourney time or celebs if those are not in already. IMO I'd like to see the all the tourneys be archived because for a big handful of viewers such as myself, the tourneys are what I'm always ex...

All registered and set to go. This will be my first time taking the online test since 2008 (and for the College Championship), so I'm ready to see how the test is going to be when it comes to the regular games.

Re: TOC Players Who Have Died

Didn't see it posted here, but by just now stumbling across his profile page on the J-Archive site, 1991 Seniors Champion Lou Pryor passed away back in January of last year. Then I went to do a search for an obituary for him and I found this. According to the article, rumor has it he was invited to ...

I have two more suggestions for the archive. First, I know I mentioned this in another thread; but I thought I'd repost it here. Whoever is in charge of Ken Jennings's profile should add the images of his podiums & of his FJ reactions from his games in the IBM Challenge and the BotD Tournament. I fe...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Only 21 games left to be archived in Season 20. They are all either part of 2003 Back to School Week, 2003 College Championship, or 2004 Teen Tournament. Well, amongst several archived games of which are skeletons right now. Looking forward to when they can get filled; hopefully someone is using th...

Re: 2014 TOC Pre-Taping Rankings, Stats etc.

Just out of curiosity, to those who are pros with the Jeopardy TOC, what player in the tournament field nowadays would be dictated as the player "to beat"? The player who won the most amount of money or the player with the most wins? Of course, up until the 2003 TOC seeing players could only win 5 t...

Re: J! Archive suggestion

There are no plans to put Sports games in the Archive (doing so would require significant retooling). Or to denote my glorious games 1 and 2, for that matter. ;) As a general rule, we don't denote the games of mere 4-time champs, even if they have appeared in five games, until we have rock-hard con...
