Re: Tuesday, September 17, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The game just sucked. Jason snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. When it eas so close going into FJ, i suspected jason would be vulnerable in no small part because of His horrible guess of Goethe on yesterday's game The male Challenger was out of his league and finding those Daily Doubles didn'...

Re: Thursday, September 12, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Blasted country music category was ridiculously easy, even at the maximum dollar amount. I think that's the thing whenever they have a celebrity doing the clue. They want to make sure the celebrity doesn't spill the beans about whatever the clue is, so it's always something that is ridiculously obvi...

As soon as I saw Bytown, I predicted a triple stumper. These contestants are not good enough to play the board from bottom to top.

Speaking of obscurities in the Bible, last week one of the pastors read from the book of Philemon. I think this is the first time anybody has ever read the book of Philemon. Hammer, pastors read the Bible out of a lectionary. You can look through the lectionary and see how often readings from Phile...

Re: TPH's FJ! analysis

For years, you had as your epigram on this site "not J! material." For some reason you have recanted. Please don't tell me you never heard of epigram and recanted. You seem like you would have done fine on many classic game shows of our era that did not require the breadth and depth of knowledge tha...

Is that the biggest laugh Alex has gotten on a reveal?

Re: Thursday, July 18, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The innominate situation almost happened today. Amy suddenly came to life toward the end of Double Jeopardy when Nathan desperately needed to get to 50% of Rory. Essentially if Amy had prevented that, she would have sunk both herself and Nathan. It would be rational in that situation to stay clam. I...

Re: Tuesday, July 16, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I was spoiled on Monday and Tuesday's games by seeing an ad for Jeopardy on Tuesday evening announcing that Sam was on a a terrific roll. So last night I watched Monday's and Tuesday's games knowing in advance that Sam would win both. FJ was extremely easy. I was also amused by the question about th...

Re: Friday, July 12, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

It was clear to me by the middle of the Jeopardy round that the so-called liquor lawyer just didn't have it. Then came the surprising rise by Heather. But it was Sam who was consistent throughout the game and despite a lot of stand and stares was able to score when he needed to. It would have been p...

Good Boys Do Fine Always (bass)
Yes, those are the mnemonics for the lines on the respective staffs. The mnemonic for the spaces are face for the treble clef and all cows eat grass for the bass clef.

Actually, Geraldine Ferraro's husband was John Zaccaro. I was going to say that. It was a good game. I figured Ryan was toast when I saw how instaget that FJ was. The new champ is from Minneapolis, isn't he? I thought that was kind of embarrassing when Margaret rang in ahead of him on that Minnesot...

LOL, just LOL at Odessa having 1500 miles of subways. Ryan made the TDD of desperation to save what was otherwise an utterly mediocre game. I knew that the correct answer on that blood type question was AB. Can someone calculate what difference it would have made in final if the challenger had eithe...
