Bonnie put Ryan into a runaway with her WAG of Jake Tapper. Then Ryan rallied and Bonnie got to exactly 50 percent. In the end it didn't matter because she didn't know final. Ryan offer to tiebreaker.

That's two days in a row that a clue about Gerald Ford was missed.

Re: Reretaken Down

Wordle is too easy because they are working from a dictionary of only 2000 and some words. The official Scrabble dictionary has 8996 five-letter words, according to one source.

I would be sunk if I had to include in my thought process all of those obscure words that are in Scrabble.

Roger Angell, longtime editor and writer for the New Yorker, passes at 101. He was, IMHO, the best writer on baseball ever ("The Summer Game", e.g.), and he wrote two superb memoirs: "This Old Man" and "Let Me Finish". Highly recommended. Not too likely to show up on J...

Mayim others herself with her pronunciations, e.g. singer. The point of "othering" is that people do it to others , not to themselves...Like you're doing here...And it's creepy. I NHO the concept of "othering". My minute of research doesn't elucidate it clearly, but why couldn't...

Far more interesting facts about Mathis: he was a near Olympic level high jumper and has scored nine holes in one. Also he is a songwriter in addition to being a singer. He’s even in the songwriter HOF. Mathis is not a songwriter. He was recognized by the Songwriters' Hall of Fame as a hit making r...

Re: Wednesday, May 18, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I have fact checked this the best I can, and my replay shows our Neuroscientist host pronouncing philanges as "philanjiz". I had no path to the FJ. I transposed Johnny Mercer with Johnny Mathis and guessed "Chances are". Mayim others herself with her pronunciations, e.g. singer....

Re: Tuesday, May 17, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The first movie was Escape TO Witch Mountain. The second movie was Return FROM Witch Mountain. So I don't see the problem with The Great Escape From Witch Mountain. You couldn't leave well enough alone and rest on your laurels from being right about the title a few weeks ago. I underthought. There ...

Farewell, Hammer. Always remember and never forget the only member of Jboard who ever gave you anything. I'm talking of course about the shopping center development manual from the 1970s that appeared mysteriously on your doorstep. I found it in one of those little curbside libraries. I didn't even ...

I have also never heard it called the St Louis Arch. The correct name of the park is Jefferson Expansion National Memorial.

There was a dweeb who parachuted onto the arch and promptly slid down one leg and died.

I don't think just anybody can check out a performance by the world-famous choir at that religious edifice or the famous giant organ either. Anybody can. The correct answer for the article III question was judges . The article reads as follows: The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour... I don't think just anybody can check out a performance by the world-famous choir at that religious edifice...
