I also said drum major.

I suspect Kari pronounces her name Kaaaaree but didn't want to correct AR.

Due to his guest hosting tenure, Buzzy will now be ineligible to appear as a contestant again: https://www.jeopardy.com/jbuzz/news-eve ... -champions
I wonder how many past Champs they offered this role to who turned it down because of that.

Swing and a miss with R&J. I had no idea there were any film versions of Hamlet.

Why do I even bother anymore?
Members of this forum have been saying that for at least 10 years.

Tonight I learned from Closed Captioning that Jerusalem has a landmark called the Whaling Wall.
It's honestly too far from the ocean to be a major whaling point. But there's a fairy you can take.

Orion instaget! Then I changed to Sagittarius. That San Diego clue was an example of one that was poorly pinned. Nothing at all about San Diego. You had to know about the fictional character Ron Burgundy. I wonder if the writers aren't conferring as much with each other during covid. I read i...

I like clues that require someone to figure it out. Anything higher than a 1 on Bloom's taxonomy. I got Australia pretty quickly.

All I could think of was The Grapes of Wrath and I knew it was wrong because it isn't a novela. I was determined to stay away from Animal Farm which, although a novella, it is a British work and is from the 1940s. So I should have pivoted to a different Steinbeck work. I wonder if the middle contest...

Interesting, Santiago's population is greater than Buenos Aires when only using the city proper, but the opposite is true when factoring in the metro areas.
Using that metric, Winnipeg is bigger than all but eighteen cities in the US.

FJ was an instaget. I knew Lizzie Borden's murders took place in New Bedford, Massachusetts, which is Rhode Island adjacent. Also notorious from New Bedford was the gang rape which was dramatized in the movie The Accused, for which Jodie Foster won an Oscar. I messed up with Ghana. I was ready to no...

It couldn't have been sweltering from the climate. They had a roaring fire going in the fireplace. When FDR stroked out, he was thrust forward into the fireplace and his head was roasted like a peanut. That's a mental image I could live without. I don't believe it's true, either. I also have a connection to Kenny Rogers. The day after my Wheel audition that got me on the show, my sister and I went to see him in Detroit. I didn't get to sing with him though. Dude. I beat all the contestants in getting Iranian hostages. I thought 444 was Pavlov for that. It happens that so many people played 444 on the day they were released, the Michigan State Lottery suspended trading in 444 in its Daily 3 game.

The FJ! category had me with no inspirations other than Cleopatra's Needle. I thought of Pikes Peak, in part because for two years I attended a small liberal arts school nestled at the foot of it. Also, at 14,115 feet, it's an eponymous landmark visible from probably a hundred miles to the east, ak...
