Few questions about the audition

-On the wikipedia page it says the most important factor at the audition and getting on the show is the test- is this still the case or does the mock game and interview count possibly as equally now? -For the interview, are we providing 5 personal anecdotes or just talking about ourselves with 5 thi...

I was selected for an inperson audition in boston on october 8th. I took the test months ago and forgot about it and assumed I didn't get chosen, then i randomly check that email today and find out I got the invite email a week ago. I RSVP'd back just now, 5 days after the last day to email- do I ha...

Re: Towards an Appreciation of Julia Collins

Can I post my own thought here without it seeming as trolling? Sometimes I wish I didn't look at everything through such an extreme lens. Julia vs. any two people of the 45 in the BOTD, I say she comes in last. I seriously believe this. Nope, some white knight will call you out for being sexist lik...

Re: Monday, June 2, 2014 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Finally she's gone. Julia was a good presence, but I don't know how the hell she lasted this long. Does anyone else think her competition overall was pretty weak? I only watched about half her games, but I saw a lot of unanswered clues and in a number of them I would have beat her handily as I got ...

Went with Gregory Peck for FJ as well. I knew The Boys from Brazil but Olivier wouldn't have been my guess. I'm only familiar with his Shakespeare roles anyway.

We love you Arthur and I personally have thought about strategies to give me the edge over competitors when/if I get on Jeopardy including starting from the bottom.

Re: Tuesday, January 28, 2014 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Got FJ after about 10 seconds, probably because I had the misfortune of reading both Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. If you want to check out Ayn Rand, start with Fountainhead. Unfortunately I read Atlas Shrugged first and that book is one huge, dull preach to Objectivism, her philosophy which I do...

instaget FJ, pretty obvious from the titles if you know even a bit about Silent spring.

I didn't know that about Rachel Carson though, those are interesting connections.

Instaget FJ, Edmund Hillary was very well known for his philanthropy and charity towards Nepal after summiting Mt. Everest, building schools and hospitals there. A little surprised only 1 got it.

Re: Wednesday, January 22, 2014 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Love The Picture of Dorian Gray, got FJ after a bit of thinking after remembering who Lord Henry was. It's been awhile since I read TPODG but Lord Henry's style of speaking was one of the most distinct of any character I've come across in literature.
