Using J-Archive for an article
Hello everyone. I am writing an article for my personal blog where I reference a clue I saw on Jeopardy. I used the J-Archive to look up the given clue (It was about Puritanism and being happy), and would like permission to reference the clue on my blog. Is there anyone I need to cite or give permis...

They also mentioned THREE Daily Doubles for Triple J!. This could either give everyone a fair shot, or cause one person to put the game away VERY early. Maximum possible score: 2,683,200.

Based on the Fleming episodes available, it looks like the two-in-one Daily Doubles are unique to just the pilot.TenPoundHammer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 8:35 pm I think it's interesting that the Daily Doubles were two-in-one clues like that. Was that ever a rule on the Fleming version, or unique to the pilot?

Cassius Clay changed his name to Muhammad Ali on March 6. The Jeopardy pilot was taped on March 5. Looks like that's a neg for me on my Coryat.

Re: Jeopardy! National College Championship
The format is sorta confirmed, via the official downloadable bracket on the J! site. The first six episodes will each feature two quarterfinal games. Episodes seven and eight (I'm guessing) will each feature two semifinal games. The three highest-scoring winners of those games will compete in the fi...

At first I was confused with the Basho clue. Isn't a haiku 5/7/5? I counted 5/5/4.
I then did some digging, then it hit me: The syllables are Japanese:
夏草や 兵どもが 夢の跡
Natsukusa ya/ Tsuwamonodomo ga/ Yume no ato

On 12/8, Olaf Scholz became the new chancellor of Germany.
(On 12/9, I had to replace a quiz bowl question that mentioned Merkel as the leader.)

FJ was an insta-"guess" for me, after seeing the term "governor-general". I saw that term used as a clue in the Australian version of Jeopardy. I wonder if any other countries have governor-generals, and I was just lucky?

Strange Phenomenon when Researching 1950s Quiz Show Contestants
I wanted to share this with you all because I've sometimes experienced this with many of the famous Jeopardy champions like Ken, Brad, Pam, James, etc. I was doing some research to compile an episode guide for shows like The $64,000 Question and Twenty-One. I found out a bunch of information using o...
