Technically, mine is Saturday since it airs at 1:00 AM in the Washington market.
Not anymore. It moved to 2pm around January, I believe.

Re: Millionaire 2018-19 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

When you were there did the producer have to appear in this regard? Do you know if any contestant dithered on a question for longer than 3 minutes? The producer did not come out during my game, and I was only in the studio for my game. I did sit in the audience for a taping this season, and no prod...

When James commented that he's running out of dates to wager, Alex quipped that he could use his birthday. That wager would be a cool $72,240.

So, to establish some sort of time limit, approximately how long had this contestant been stalling on the question when the producer said this?
I'll jump in for this one. During the briefing with the show's lawyer, we were told the producer would appear after "about three minutes."

Buzzy made a fun observation on Twitter which I didn't notice until now. This wildcard match was a rematch between Buzzy, Alan, and Austin. Even more interesting, that trio is 0/12 in Final Jeopardy.

Re: Friday, March 1, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

What an incredible tournament this has been, start to finish. Yesterday and today, we're seeing something we don't see very often on Jeopardy: gut-wrenching emotion. Between Alan yesterday and Alex today, you can really see just how much the team dynamic makes a difference. I'm sure Team Colby would...

Idaho - not falling for a Diamond Head trap since I was not thinking D was a letter
I was able to rule out D as a letter because of the old joke about going to school in Hawaii. Since they don't have B's, C's, D's or F's, you're guaranteed straight A's.

Re: Millionaire 2018-19 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

Not a terribly difficult $100K question. My family tree got a little fuzzy, but it wasn't necessary to know who was Indira's son and who was her grandson. Mahatma is not related to Indira, Rajiv or Rahul (Tom's answer) And even if you know absolutely nothing on the subject, Mahatma is the most inte...

The show hasn't aired here yet, but I'm reading anyway because BuzzerBlog spoiled the result on their Facebook page. If you follow them, I strongly recommend unfollowing.

Congrats to all three players on a sensational tournament all the way through! And congrats to Claire for taking it down.

Re: Millionaire 2018-19 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

I worked at Domino's ten years ago, and would have absolutely gone with Super Bowl. There were two days out of the year where everybody was scheduled: Super Bowl Sunday, and Halloween. We didn't do crap on New Year's Eve. Our store was servicing the University of Washington and the surrounding neigh...

I wonder if Emma got it from the meme that went around. And now I'm cracking up imagining Emma saying "Honey badger don't give a ****."

Came here to see how many all-female finals there have been. Glad to see that question already answered.

The only explanation I can think of for her wager, and even this isn't a defense, is that she forgot she wasn't playing for cash.

Hopefully she recognized her mistake, and will be more careful in the final.

I couldn't help but think to myself, if you were deep enough in the hole so that there was almost no chance of coming back, do you just decide to go for the record instead? And then Dan answered my question by damn near making it out of the hole.

But whereas I can understand someone who is not into movies struggling with that one, Dan has no one to blame but himself for missing the $7k question. Even if he is bad pop culture (although I'm shaky on it and knew Rihanna was from Barbados), it is either foolhardy or lazy not to look up all the ...

I have worked as a dealer in a Washington state cardroom for almost ten years. As far as I'm concerned, a croupier is anyone who is in charge of maintaining a gaming table, be it cards, roulette, or dice. I myself have only ever dealt cards.

The movie question for $50k was very easy for me, but I would have been eliminated on $10k. As someone who frequently hard boils eggs, I would never in a million years use that method.
But would you prepare any of the other three that way?

Re: Monday, April 16, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion [SPOILERS]

I'll be bold and nominate this for game of the season. Rebecca played like a champion, and save for that one clue, she'd have been the champion. All in on FJ wasn't optimal, but nobody's perfect. Could a case be made for an even bigger DD wager in her spot? Or was $8,000 a sweet spot? Could she come...

Fritz Holznagel will try to be the next one tomorrow.
Retroactive good luck to him!

Has Dan Melia done Millionaire? If he does, that'll create another Jeopardy episode where all three contestants were, or became, Millionaire alums. To my knowledge, this is the only such game.

32/50 if you accept "Hot sping" in a frantic attempt to get "Hot Springs" down in time. Not passing, but a personal best.
