Re: Administrative Note

Does this affect just the board? I haven't been able to get J! Archive to load for a few hours.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

I think that the way J! Archive is coded, a game page has to at least name the contestants. Overhauling the code to accommodate a single placeholder is probably not in the plans (although I imagine a brief note in the FJ at the end of the M$M wouldn't be out of the question—then again, the entire e...

Since Alex hasn't won an Emmy in over a decade, this award was probably at least partially given based on his current health issues. Of course, he certainly deserved it anyway, but it's still nice to see him get another Emmy.
In his acceptance speech he brought up getting the pity vote.

Re: Rule Change Effective 4/29/19 - No More FJ! Shout-Outs

I never really care that much, and am totally fine with personal messages. Outside of "What is Aleve?", none of them seem really memorable. You don't think "Sorry Cory, No Jag", "Turd Ferguson", or "Kebert Xela" were memorable? I've actually found quite a few of the joke responses enjoyable. I've s...

Keep the same initials - Aisha Tyler. Woman of color, intelligent, gamer, young, graduated from Dartmouth, experience with The Talk and Whose Line, did Celebrity Jeopardy. Done. Would she be available when needed? I haven't heard anything about her not being in the last 10 episodes of Criminal Mind...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Is one movie more famous than the others? IMO the movie with Richard Mulligan would have been the most famous. That was Little Big Man with Dustin Hoffman. Chief Dan George was nominated for a number of best supporting actor awards (including the Academy Awards and Golden Globes) and won at the New...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Indeed the final seems very tough. The miniseries starring Gary Cole had just aired earlier that year so maybe it could have been fresh in the mind, and it won 4 emmies which could have been even fresher in the mind, possibly just before taping. (Then again I’m not sure anyone knew who Gary Cole wa...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

The Tim Buthod vs. Laurie Chambliss vs. Bill Lipscomb game from Nov, 1992 is a skeleton so I couldn’t enter a correction through the game. My daughter noticed the date is wrong - it’s entered as Nov 25 but should be the 26th.

Re: Maintaining Confidentiality of Who Has Won on Jeopardy!

In an article about the current ToC on the Jeopardy website they may have given away some wildcard spots by including a picture of Austin, Tim and Buzzy behind the podiums. They did jump the gun by posting about the recent $1 win. There have been times when a new contestant with the same given name ...

Animfan1 has posted the January 5, 1987 (the correct airdate for Keith Bell game 2) episode on Dailymotion: http://dailymotion.com/animfan11 I was wondering whether this game is going to be finished being archived. It seems to have been at the one clue posted mark for a little while now (unless the...

Re: Friday, July 21, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I watch J! at 4:30 Central time, but on Facebook, George mentioned that the show airs at 9 Central (which it does as some cable packages get it from a Spokane station), so that's probably where he watches from. YES TV's Alberta feed airs the show at 8 PM Mountain Time (which would be 9 PM Central)....

I received a tip on FB to put "rinde jeopardy" into the search box on YT and there is a game not in the Archive. Another archivist is welcome to it as I have already have a different game ready to input later this morning. That was fast - it's been archived now. Thanks to the archivist who transcri...

My daughter decided to try to write a round. This is based on the April 10, 2002 game. The blank category uses the clues and responses from the April 10 games. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll198/Takara_Soong/Jeopardy%2010%20Apr%202002-1.jpg And the responses. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums...

Sounded like Pick to me. I have a subscription to Ancestry and there was a Michael Pick living in Arcadia, California in the early 1990s.
