Re: 2018 Current Events Study Guide

As for music repopularized by the 2018 Winter Olympics, how about the music of Of A Revolution, also known as O.A.R.? Some of their songs have regained popularity.

Re: Thursday, February 15, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion [SPOILERS]

I can't believe I still remember all the names of the Clinton cabinet members that I memorized for quizbowl in high school. For FJ!, I was trying to remember the word daimyo, but couldn't come up with it, but didn't realize that samurai was a nobility title as well.

I have no idea who those muppets are. I think that for people under 40, muppets who weren't prominently on Sesame Street are really obscure.

Re: 2018 Current Events Study Guide

Morgan Tsvangirai, best known as a key opposition to former Zimbabwe leader (and 2017 Current Events Study Guide alumnus ) Robert Mugabe, has died , sadly only a few months after Mugabe's resignation. (Doubt J! would ever ask for Morgan's last name, definitely not how to spell it, but his oppositio...

I'm wondering if I should choose Cleveland, Detroit, or St. Louis. They all take 4-5 hours to get to.

If I knew the CDC was in Atlanta, I would've said Emory, but I didn't know that, so I also said Johns Hopkins.

I've probably read 10-15 works of philosophy in my life. The Apology happens to be one of them, so I'm 2/2 in getting FJ! before the music started this week from my couch.

Re: Learned League 75 - Official Thread

I put this out on the LL board, but with the Russian goalie, I figured it was Not Tretiak, since Tretiak was the one pulled, leading to the US win. Also, led me to way defend this horribly as well. Somehow, I got lucky to still win, with my opponent underestimating my love of Major League. Same her...

As someone who has spent most of his life living in a bedroom community of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, I was wondering if you could poll that $200 question that they all missed. Also, given how often clues about him end up as a TS, I'm glad that Ryan got the Dag Hammarskjold clue.

But "POP" is in quotation marks, so it would be a category that would contain those three letters somewhere in the word.

It's too bad that there wasn't a Quebec separatist on to protest this FJ since Canada's rightful capital is Gatineau.

I remember playing that game when I was really little, and my aunt being surprised that I knew who Menachem Begin was, when at the time, I didn't, but had seen the name written somewhere before that.
