Re: New old games in the J-Archive

Hi everybody. Just a little update for fans of old games being entered into the J-Archive. I have finally finished Ed Toutant's 2 games. They can be found at http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=3776 and http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=3794 . Thanks a lot for doing this, Myro...

Then again the large numbers of audio daily doubles in the early seasons may mean that none of those episodes ever see the light of day due to music licensing fees.
Could a Sony "house band" re-record the songs to get around that issue?

Gays, girls, then everybody else

And if you keep winning, I’m going to start rooting for your challengers. Runaway games are boring!
What would you do if a gay girl went on a long winning streak?

He was a rather odd choice to host a debate for governor in a state he doesn’t live in.

And yet again they BMS "Kennedy" when asking for the president.
Yeah, I have no clue what the BMS criteria are any more.

Re: 2018 Current Events Study Guide

A minor league baseball team in Madison, Alabama, is set to begin play in 2020. They had an internet poll to name the team and the winning name was the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

Re: LearnedLeague 78 - Official Thread

I missed stoma despite the fact I had one for six weeks earlier this year. Ouch and ouch on both accounts. I hope that you have recovered well from your surgery, and that better things come your way. Thank you. I am doing better, though the recovery has been a struggle. On the bright side, I still ...

Re: LearnedLeague 78 - Official Thread

Accepting "qi" has got to be one of the worst calls I've seen. Down there with "appeasement" for Sudetenland. And, while I'm thinking about it, accepting anything other than The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover . It's a title; it's either exactly right or completely wrong. I agree on those....

Re: Jeopardy in Houston will be changing time slots

I've asked them, and will post when I get a reply. From my experience seeing KTRK's social media in the past: Please tell me that your "asking them" is more than "sending a tweet at an account that has generally not replied to people" (otherwise, I would say "if I get a reply" would be more apt, an...

Re: LearnedLeague 78 - Official Thread

bamaman, I see you are 7-0 so far. Congrats! I guess it's a good thing that I'm not playing you until late in the season. Thank you. I’m sure I’ll regress to the mean by then. I have been lucky so far in that what I know has been spread out in my favor. Jumble the order and I’d have drank three bee...

Re: LearnedLeague 78 - Official Thread

Scored a 0(1) yesterday with isotope as the only correct answer. Of course, I wrote down William and Mary and golf , but somehow keyed in other letters. Would've lost anyway. Moving on... Funny, I spelled WIlliam and Mary "Y-A-L-E".... despite that I got the win 5(3) - 3(3) due to my WAG of dogs (w...

I feel for you Mets fans, but I'm a Tigers fan, and we have traded away or lost so many good players, especially pitchers.
Oh yeah. In the last few years your traded off Price, Porcello, Verlander, and Scherzer, who are currently a combined 51-21.
As a Braves fan, thanks for this.

I have the 2003 ToC to thank for Burghers of Calais. Anyone else? I don't know where I heard of it, but I know I've heard it enough to automatically think of Calais when I saw Burghers. Pretty much exactly that. I don’t recall seeing the show, but I did get this from Keith lamenting on this board h...
