I don't think I've ever made a poll suggestion, but how about "finger and singer rhyme" vs. "finger and singer don't rhyme"?
Second that request.

"Finger" and "Singer" rhyme in German. Not in English.
Okay, somebody help me out - why don't finger and singer rhyme?

Re: Monday, May 4, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

That said, I probably would love to see Ken host, and the first games back be Celebrity J!. No, not because I'm a big fan of celebs on game shows - I'm honestly not. But can anyone think of a perfect celebrity for Ken's first show? One who might have some extra free time and be willing to come back...

I didn't have any problem with the wording of FJ, but I did not get it either. I kept fixating on Los/Las, recognized them as plural and took a leap thinking the country must be an island or archipelago and came up blank. The reveal was a big "duh, of course!" for me.

I'm not one to change my behavior because of the "optics" of a situation, but with 26 million people out of work it seems blindingly stupid to go on strike right now.

For 26 seconds I bounced back and forth between Pakistan and India, knowing full well they are both now pursuing nuclear agendas. Fortunately Japan sprung to mind with enough time to write it down. Seems obvious in hindsight. Got the gunpowder plot from my viewing of "V for Vendetta". I can't be the...

ETYMOLOGY This word coined in 1906 by Gelett Burgess in a short book is used to refer to sedate, boring expressions such as "Why, I know you better than you know yourself!", and is derived from a chemical element that was once used as an anticonvulsant medication. What is a bromide? My guess was pl...

I latched onto "Guayllabamba" as seeming vaguely Welsh and wondered "does Wales have swales"? Despite the awkwardness of trying to force the square peg swale into the round hole cartographic it was the best I could do.

Instaget FJ and then took a lap around Europe to make sure I wasn't missing something. I'm curious how this would have played if the category had been "World Borders".

Panama Canal sprung to mind immediately and I spent the next 29 seconds overthinking it. Suez Canal? Erie Canal? Soo Locks? No, no and no. I was expecting a higher get rate from the contestants. Heck, I would expect a higher get rate for Teen Week contestants.

Had Delaware for FJ. If one does not consider the coast along Delaware Bay as "ocean" then it is not too far off the mark (apart from not matching an English county). NH was obvious in hindsight.
