Given all of the extra space afforded by HDTV, I wish they'd keep the scores on the screen in a corner.
In a similar vein, why doesn't Wheel have an on-screen letter board?

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Agree with Myron on the Burr clue. There were literally only two possibilities and TJ seems much more likely. Even if you include future presidents none of them makes any sense. Sure, I follow the logic and that's probably why I settled on the correct response. But I didn't do so with full confiden...

I was boarding a plane many years ago, and as I'm getting into my seat, I see that sitting right in front of me was ... John Glenn. I couldn't resist, so I did start up a conversation. He was quite gracious. I'd probably just end up impersonating a fish the whole flight. :o  :o  :o :s...

Yep, that's the spot. Vermilion Cliffs area west of Page.

My wife and I would visit the region every few years for our anniversary. We were married on the beach at Lee's Ferry.

Well done and thanks to everyone involved with making this a fun community. In case any of you don't know you can hover over your name (or anyone else's) and get your number. 75 people ahead of me. I'm not sure of the significance of that number. I checked the list of members sorted by date joined ...

...And with all due respect to Master Trebek, Brooke Burns has to be the nicest, friendliest host I've met. Easy on the eyes, too. :) I guess there's a little "lech" in Leszek. ;) BTW, I've always been a little jealous of your avatar photo. I am pretty sure where that is. I would love to see it, bu...

Was not working so stay at home doesn't affect me much. I have been doing take out more often using a list of criteria to assess them above and beyond simple health questions. Yes to always the mask. I live in a seniors only community where the average age is about 75 so we're reducing the chances a...

I was already married 10 yrs in 2005 after a 6 mo engagement. (Mrs. OS wasn't going too wait.) This makes me realize we just passed what would have been our 25th anniverssry. Maybe I'll buy myself something silver and take myself to dinner.

My best wishes for a long and happy marriage.

Re: Tuesday, May 22, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion [SPOILERS]

Winnipeg and Black Sea seemed like negbait for Ontario and Caspian Sea. Oof, not really. Odessa is famously a Black Sea port; the Caspian Sea touches only Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran; and the J! writers never use "sea" unqualified to refer to the Caspian (if they use "sea...

This.game is listed as a semifinal but doesn't indicate who became a finalist or prizes for 2nd and 3rd, tho those are easy to figure out.

Other than size, is there any reason whatsoever that should lead me to assume this was Concord NH instead of Concord VA? It's not like Virginia was a major source of early Presidents or anything ... Significance? Concord NH is the state capital; Concord VA is a burg of fewer than 1,500 that almost ...

I finally realized how I got FJ!! I knew right away that Cook had gone to HI, and, somehow, buried deep in my head was the fact that there's a feature on Alaska's coast called Cook Inlet. I'm sure I looked it up many years back since my father's (his bday today, btw) first duty station after the aca...

A very familiar face is on the show today. ;) Also, Ryan Chaffee makes his debut. That familiar face certainly made an attempt. it will be fun to look back on this episode some day and fondly reminisce about the time when people on television game shows displayed their uncovered faces. I'm wonderin...
