I'm sure I would've been able to put together Ringling = Florida (knowing the circus was headquartered there) if it was a FJ clue. Possibly could've pulled Lend-Lease if it was a Learned League question.

Re: Friday, March 20, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Since the contestants were pointed toward WOMEN AUTHORS , am I wrong to think answering with a politician (or any other public figure that is not primarily known as a writer) is a deviation from/misinterpretation of the category? Isn't this akin to answering with a US president when the category is...

Re: FJs for the 3/9/20 week

Hailee Steinfeld's name rings a vague bell, but just as a "Gen Z film actress who hasn't been in anything I could match with her name". Didn't know Apple TV+ had a Dickinson series. Honestly, I didn't know Apple TV+ had series that were well-known enough to be canon - although I guess this was just...

Without wasting a poll slot, who else here knew that Indian religious place? Outside of general knowledge of it from reading about Buddhism, I distinctly remember a season of the Amazing Race where the teams traveled to Cambodia and had to locate an echo chamber room in the temple. Poll request on "Why Johnny Can't Read". That seemed insanely obscure for the top box. It has only one other hit, and Rudolf Flesch only five, the last being in 1998. What's Johnny doin' out on a Tuesday night Johnny can't read, Johnny can't write Johnny just don't understand - "Degenerated" by Rea...

I thought the Spam trap would catch a few, but 58% MCWA to a 26% get rate! Wow! I kind of wonder if "Red Devil" would have been acceptable. I vaguely recall it being used synonymous to "Deviled Ham", and also "Potted Meat". Great question and informative little trivia nugget in the clue. I can sure...

This is disappointing, hasn't the ToC always been a pure meritocracy? I don't remember Nancy Zerg appearing. I am reminded of Michelle Wie continually getting sponsor's exemptions into PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour events as a teenager. Taking a spot from a much more deserving player who actually co...
