Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails

I received an invite yesterday for June 28th in St. Louis. This will be my first audition after having taken the online test four times.

Re: Fun with GSN's "Winsanity"

Because I knew what went with 27 and 42 that left me no doubt what went with 33.  From there I either get all five right on the first try or for sure on the second try. I Had the same thought process of knowing outright 27 and 42 and being able to slot in 33. I initially had 47 and 54 reversed but ...

Re: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion [SPOILERS]

Do I have a historical blindspot, or was that Lucy Hayes clue quite difficult? The only way most know her name is from the "Lemonade Lucy" sobriquet. I'd say it's one notch easier than the most obscure First Ladies. It's an odd situation where, despite Rutherford B. Hayes occupying a low spot on th...

Re: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion [SPOILERS]

William and I would get along pretty well considering we both love art. Although El Greco was actually part of the Mannerism movement rather than the Baroque. Unless Mannerism is considered part of the Baroque movement, which I am unsure about. I raised an eyebrow at this too. Depending on personal...

I would've passed out if any of them had gotten the Braves, after B.S. was a TS. I didn't know "blown save" but instantly knew what team Smoltz played for. A lot of casuals know certain famous players but not the more in-depth terms. Same here. Smoltz = Braves is much more of a front page of the sp...

"Residence hall" joins the "NHO in the top box" pile, and also strikes me as an overly generational clue.
Nah, they've been using that euphemism for a long time.
Yes. It was definitely in use back when I was still in school in the early 2000s.

Re: The Official TPH Education Thread (POTENTIAL GAME DAY SPOILERS)

Again, most of NY involves going west, even if you do go north first. This one's simple: if it isn't NYC or Long Island, it's upstate. So, basically 97% of New York is considered upstate. Then why call it "upstate" and not something else entirely? That'd be like calling the non-St. Louis parts of M...

This was my seventh five for five of the season.
The week seemed pretty easy (all instagets) and the poll appears to be bearing that out.
Seen both the movie and the original The Fugitive tv series.

Re: Fun with GSN's "Winsanity"

I think if you just substitute round number for even number this could’ve been solved 12 posts sooner. However I’m not sure logic was 100% infallible. I have no specific knowledge of the westworld universe but I see no reason to assume they couldn’t charge 57,000 instead of 40,000. I’m not sure I’v...

The Day After is certainly the big popular culture reference point for Lawrence, but is no one here a Supernatural fan?

If San Diego is world renowned for anything as much as its zoo, the only real contender is Comic-Con and that's held at the convention center, not in a park.

FJ get rate might be higher for us on this board, but for contestants, 50/50 sounds about right. I wonder if a mod could pull the data from the weekly polls to see what the board averages. I looked over my own results for the first 13 weeks of this year and had 48 correct out of 65 clues (I exclude...

I got this by knowing the obvious pizza and Koko numbers, figuring the Westworld price would be an even amount and the Mensa members would be an odd amount,
Every number listed there is even.
You know what I meant
Not really, no. What did you mean?
