Re: Should the Teen Tournament Winner Get a TOC Invite?

I've read The Final Wager's analysis on the issue a few times and come to the same conclusion each time.. I agree that if the show puts up two weeks of teens, surely they can dedicate one spot to them in the ToC field. I especially believe this considering the current ToC cycle, as the field remains...

Can we poll the entire TV category? Never seen any of those shows and only got Adventure Time through osmosis or something.

I started World History in 9th grade, but we didn't get to the Napoleonic Era until 10th. Instaget Final.

Caleb might be a tough out next week.

learn something new every day...never knew that nascar people watched jeopardy Yeah I definitely bet the two are not a common duo. Harder to watch these days with the constant rule changes and my favorite drivers retiring, but so it goes. Knowledge of the sport's history helps get more clues than y...

Re: Wednesday, November 7, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I'm spoiled from two years ago and it feels weird seeing the Teen Tourney in the studio again as opposed to on location. Maya is a solid player, and nice work from Emma to shake off the slow start. Saw some of the comments in here before watching and was a little worried about Final. Not a musical b...

Re: Tuesday, November 6, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

All in on Mary Ann - that was so much fun to watch. Excited for the Teens but man I wish I could see her play again sooner. TIL that Bumper Pool is actually his given name. Thought it was a nickname. Almost certain I'll be the only one who got Final this way but nevertheless... huge NASCAR fan. Ster...

Re: Thursday, November 1, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Can't wait to go on the show someday and prove this silly correcting the host theory wrong once and for all! Whatever the $600 clue was in the Roman Numeral category kept me from a perfect first round.. just a little too slow on the trigger. DJ played a lot tougher in the bottom two rows, IMO....

Not a fan of 60s films or Halloween, but the fact that it's freaking Halloween led me to Psycho as soon as Alex revealed the category. I don't need no stinkin' clue! Got more correct responses in DJ than J for some reason. Nice job from Emily to pick up win #2, hope she sticks around longer!

Re: Millionaire 2018-19 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

Great playing by Robin! Lafayette makes the most sense on $10K. Strong lean on Iron for $20k but for some reason I couldn't quite say it with confidence (in my defense, I was very tired :D). +1 maybe for extra confidence, depending on who I bring. 30K: Tallest mountain in Nepalese sounds like someth...

Maybe it's 10 as I count 9. 61 clue games: Week 1: 9/14 - Kyle Jones Week 2: 9/17 - Kyle Jones Week 3: 9/25 - Nancy Schoppa, 9/26 - Evelyn Rubin, 9/27 - Evelyn Rubin Week 4: None Week 5: 10/8 - Alex Schmidt, 10/10 - Alex Schmidt, 10/12 - Alan Dunn Week 6: 10/15 - Alan Dunn Week 7: None We...

Have we had a 61-clue game this season?
I count 11 out of the 36 games we've played this season. Feel free to check or correct my work. Lots of overall slow play has hurt us more often than not.

Instaget FJ.

I'll admit I didn't know Halsey also had a song called "Ghost", but the Ella Henderson tune is fantastic IMO.

Thanks again for hosting Peachbox, always happy to finish top ten!

Another Blarney Stone here - royalty and bible stuff is certainly not in my wheelhouse. If I'm Dhruv I bet nothing in that situation, but his actual wager was defensible in my eyes. Wondering if Tori intended to cover Dhruv but miscalculated. Nearly posted my highest Coryat of the season despite the...

Really hoping Erik and that 'fro stick around awhile. Awesome interview, and nice work putting up a $20k Coryat despite faltering late. Have a feeling a few boardies may claim a win from the 4th tonight. I scooped up around $8k in DJ! alone, surely others did better. Couldn't get the gears rolling ...

Re: Friday, October 19, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I think he'll make the second round in the TOC when his time comes. Agreed. Of the 4 and 5 day champs in the field so far, Alan has the highest per day average and he put up a near $30k Coryat on Monday. Would not be surprised to see him in Mark's "Gold" category come tournament time. Congrats agai...

Took five seconds to pick up Tombaugh, but no trouble after that.

Alan has more than made up for my disappointment in Alex losing late last week; he's been just as much fun to watch! Congrats on win #3, and here's hoping he can keep up the strong performance.

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought this set of boards was on the tougher side; particularly the entertainment categories, not being a Star Wars fan at all. I strongly dislike how we get a film or TV category seemingly daily, but so it goes.

Finally, those hours as a 12-year-old looking up baseball stadiums on the Internet and watching Figure It Out pay off! Good game! Ha same here. When I was about nine or ten years old I bought a big book with pictures and write-ups about all the baseball stadiums. Read it so much it got worn out. Al...

For me, it's usually Vermont/Massachusetts natives (especially those damn Vermonsters), and folks who simply play the game well. Matt Jackson is my favorite player of all-time, in part because of how much he would dominate games and the no-nonsense attitude he carried. I like competitors who go on t...

Grrr I had Munich in the box but changed it last minute figuring people would look at 1972, come up with Munich and not do any further thinking. Glad my strategy of picking all of my local teams continues to work! The Bruins' Cup win in '11 will forever be a favorite memory. Around the same time as ...

Very excited that Alex won again, he's been a pleasure to watch this week! He has certainly looked like a ToC contender the last three days with some fantastic bottom row solves. Recent Broadway is fine, but don't know enough older Broadway to have gotten close; props to Alex for solving a tough clu...
