Re: Tuesday, January 26, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
I've been looking at maps and can't figure out how the Catskills are between the Mohawk and the Hudson. What am I missing? I feel like I'm going to need my own education thread after this.... The Catskills are south of the Mohawk and west of the Hudson. I guess you can say they are 'surrounded on t...

As for FJ, my wife and I were debating whether Algeria or Libya was larger. I knew Malta was smaller than any country on the African side. Was thinking Monaco was land-locked. Duh! Forgot about all those tourist photos of the harbor from the hills in Monaco.

I'm hearing Jeopardy! will be pre-empted in NY tonight for a special news program on the second impeachment of 45. If true, just shoot me dead According to WABC's website, tonight's Jeopardy! will be seen on Localish. https://abc7ny.com/jeopardy-what-time-is-on-where-programming-note/10002357/ Than...

Re: WWTBAM returns to primetime
I loved how the contestant really had it figured out how to solve for the most likely answer, but then her 'smartest friend' got her off track. I was doing that for my wife at home and eliminated the three wrong answers quickly, even though I hadn't checked the world's population in a quite some tim...

Shouldn't the answer to the Mary Tyler Moore clue be "Mary Richards", the character in the show, not the actor?

Re: Season 37 Preemptions
WABC joined Jeopardy! in progress, just before Gabriel rang in during clue 15 of the Jeopardy! Round. Wonder why they ran so long? I had the full show on my ABC station. WABC ended their broadcast of College Football at exactly 7:00 PM Eastern and they aired a few minutes of commercials before Jeop...

Re: Reretaken Down
I don’t even know what a full credit roll is or the interest in tracking down games that had them. There seem to be a number of credit rolls videos on YouTube, not sure why. (Hey, I have a bunch of old unarchived games, I bet people would love to see who the key grip was in 1987). Hey, they have fa...

Re: Season 36 Pre-Emptions
[/quote] I'd set a recording for tomorrow at 5:00 AM. That's the time they plan to show the Saturday rerun of Jeopardy!, but I'd record it just in case they show yesterday's episode instead. I checked my DVR and at the time they said Jeopardy! would air, the Saturday rerun of Wheel aired (which like...

And ... WABC-7 NYC didn't run Jeopardy! at the time they said they would, so even with opening a wide window on the DVR, only got the first half of Jeopardy!

Re: Season 36 Pre-Emptions
Jeopardy! in NYC on WABC-7 has been moved to 3:30-ish am Saturday morning, according to my DVR and Titan TV listings. Last time, I lost Final Jeopardy as the DVR cut it off early. It would be nice if WABC-7 would note the change in time on their web page or on facebook. It's really not that hard, is...

Re: Friday, February 28, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
"Traditionally, this is the first full day of the Paschal Triduum, leading up to Easter Does the word "full" make any difference?" I didn't remember the 'answer', so maybe that's what they were getting at. As a Catholic, I would think a 'full' day would start at Thursday evening's service. Day 3 wou...

The Easter Tridiuum begins at the Holy Thursday Mass, not on Good Friday.
Perhaps someone thought Friday, Saturday, Sunday. But the 'third' day is the Easter Vigil on the night of Holy Saturday.
Or is this where J! using a Protestant definition I haven't heard of?

I guess Brad and Ken will have a chance to top Emma's record of beating James twice.

Nobody but Emma can say "I had more money than James Holzhauer at the end of two out of three matches"
It would be just a little bit of a stretch to say a shorter version, "I beat James Holzhauer two out of three games."

I loved seeing the Saturn V Instrument Unit. It saved the Apollo 12 mission. Astronauts wanted the Command Module to run the Saturn V rocket. While they had some options for control, the show was run from the Instrument Unit, not the Command Module. So when Apollo 12's Saturn V was hit by lightning,...

When Alex introduced the category THE 1600s, I was hoping he'd say "That was a good century" or similar. "You're too young to remember." I felt much older when I realized the contestants were born too recently to remember 9/11/2001. I didn't remember the members invoking the NATO article at the tim...

. . . My wife came up with "bullion" in place of 'stock'. You can invest in (gold) bullion, right? Perhaps the spellings are different. I'm watching it now and trying to check it out at the same time. bob The pronunciation is different too. Gold is bullion (BUHL-yun). Soup/stock is bouillon (BOOL-y...
