Even though it was 3 years later, seeing Warren in the clue led me down the garden path towards JFK/Warren Commission, so I put down Jack Ruby.

Coryat: $26,200 DDs: 0/3 FJ!:  Precalled FJ!. One of the easiest Finals in recent memory. This is on par with the "Clue" clue, and I'd be shocked if it doesn't poll at least 95%. WTF did Frank say for that Milwaukee clue? http://www.slate.com/content/dam/slate/articles/arts/culturebox/2011/...

I checked all the boxes except for having had Ore-Ida products in my freezer in the last year. If I want Tater Tots (or as we know them in Canada, McCain Tasti Taters), I don't have to go to the States.

Algonquin should always Pavlov to Ontario/Quebec in general.
Don't forget the Algonquin Hotel in NYC with the famous literati meeting at the Algonquin Round Table.
Ooh, good call. Goes into the Field Notes.

TIL the Tandy version of this game used green/red for the turn indicators. The DOS version used yellow/red. Other than that it looks identical. The first version of WOF for home computers (the version seen above) came out in 1987. Totally within the timeframe. I still play the classic DOS versions o...

Tim Hortons gets away with it because the official corporate name has no apostrophe. Not sure why McDonald's gets away with it (perhaps great lobbying powers?).

Except that the name of the coffee-and-doughnut chain is Tim Hortons, plural. Not Tim Horton, singular. That's the player. One should never be mistaken for the other. Would TPTB accept "Dunkin' Donut"? "McDonald"? "Starbuck"? So why is Tim Horton acceptable when referring to the chain? ESPECIALLY in...

Even so, one of the most famous eateries in Montreal has a sign out front reading Schwartz's. If you look very closely, you'll notice the word "Chez" in front of "Schwartz's", as well as a large sign reading "CHARCUTERIE HEBRAIQUE". Schwartz's predates Bill 101 by some margin (and Montreal is much ...
