they should also require the comma and exclamation point.
How do you pronounce a comma and an exclamation point?

80% of J! doesn't need captioning.
I think if you were to crunch the numbers, you'd be surprised. It's more like 15-20%.

Re: Wednesday, May 12, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The producers need to step up. It's ridiculous that a show that prides itself on intelligence & knowledge allows mistakes like this. May I propose a new thread where we memorialize captioning errors so that when we learn who is responsible for these atrocities they can be sent a sternly worded but ...

Character actor Norman Lloyd ... died at age 106.
No clues about him in the Archive... I would think if he was too obscure in life for the J! canon, he'll remain too obscure in death. Time will tell!

Re: Jeopardy! Interim Host Thread

Not clear Ken will still be a consulting producer for next season. That might have just been the title he got as "first guest host in the event Alex is unable to tape". I also got the sense that his greenscreen category bits were done from his home. The video quality didn't match the studio cameras....

Re: Jeopardy! Interim Host Thread

I don't think the ratings trend means much about any particular host. At best the numbers show that Aaron Rodgers was able to spark meager and temporary additional interest, and disprove the hypothesis that the TV polish and brand of Anderson Cooper could offer a huge ratings jolt. The real test wil...

Re: Monday, May 10, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Can someone explain to me why DD3 had a question mark in it? It threw me so far off I couldn't concentrate on the meat of the clue. Here's the clue text. Basically it's asking a question and then answering it (with "a [long] novel ... & ... a [short] allegory"). The "this" still points to needing t...

$30,400 has to be among the highest end-of-DJ scores all season.
But not the highest--with $6,000 more than that, this distinction belongs to Brayden Smith game 3.

Re: Friday, May 7, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Sure, and it could make a good clue in the future...but the idea that Shakespeare was under suspicion for the Plot is more speculative than whether the play was written to please James. "Theory has it..." indeed... I just think it's good trivia that the Gunpowder Plot and the writing of Macbeth wer...

This clue could just as easily have been about the play's allusions to the Gunpowder Plot.
