Re: Millionaire 2018-19 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

Tuesday Jamie went for the $100K question with gusto, but I saw the flashing red lights as he went spinning towards the wrong answer. He didn’t really take time to consider the other logical choice, which brings me back to Sesame Street, oh never mind Katherine’s getting relatively easy questions. N...

I like how Shiva got to say "psychotically insane" on national TV. I'm still bummed that the editors cut my line about the Senate being mostly "old white guys"

Re: 2018 Current Events Study Guide

In other news, I highly recommend the film about writer Lee Israel’s adventures in literary forgery, Can You Ever Forgive Me, starring Melissa McCarthy, Richard E. Grant, and Jane Curtin - all outstanding. Set in NYC and full of wit, despair and 80s hair. There’s even a cat!

Re: Millionaire 2018-19 Season Discussion [SPOILERS]

Spoiler Alert: Deeply personal, upsetting news and probably oversharing I'm going to share something real, because we're all human and dealing with various degrees of pain, grief and distress, and it's related to my experience on Millionaire. I haven't spoken to my parents since July last year, bec...

TIL: TH in a Sanskrit transliteration is never pronounced like the TH in “the,” but rather like the Ts in “light.” The correct pronunciation of the word “hatha” for example is “ha-ta,” not “ha-tha.”

Wish we could resurrect John Bardeen and get him working on that whole screaming at the television thing Dinghammer - bravo. that’s some serious esoterica. I love it! My Plus One didn’t know Oscar the Grouch Really curious what Ask the Audience would have returned on that one. With the 50/50, what answers would have remained? Bert and Oscar the Grouch? I said I was leaning towards Bert but I had zero confidence. Zero. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks that ...

Re: TD 401 - Mini-TD #5 - Q2 RESULTS

I watched that Black Mirror episode because it won a writing Emmy, but I didn't know Jesse Plemons was nominated. I knew for sure that Alexander Skarsgard won for Big Little Lies , and that it was on TV last year, but I didn't know which Emmy year that was. The alternative would have been naming so...
