Re: $0 FJ Wager Poll

Maybe a combination of question plus comment/joke. Or maybe just the correct question, to psych out opponents. But I'm not sure.

Re: TD 412 - SenseiCAY's birthday Mini-TD (Q5 revealed)

when is the next reveal? I think the last answer was my only good one. My only chance of finishing in the top half is if everyone else sheeped on two of the mother sauces, or missed the question entirely. I think you might've gotten your wish! Very close, except that Sauce Espagnole was better know...

Have they passed over NYC in other years? Hopefully that means they'll keep my application on file a few more months, until my 12-month game show appearance window expires (9 months to go!) Re: Movie (and the like) Quiz -- General-purpose time-waster

Since the one-named Harvey was accepted, I suppose the Shakespearean one-namers are also good:
Hamlet
Macbeth
Othello
Coriolanus
Cymbeline

That's assuming the ones with titles (e.g., "King" or "Caesar") or number suffixes (Richard III, Henry V) aren't acceptable.

Re: The crisis in TDs

This is just a busy time of year for me. But also, I've checked out a few of them and had no ready answer for two or more questions (mostly in what I'd consider niche areas). So it's the difficulty level as well.

Re: Should the Teen Tournament Winner Get a TOC Invite?

I don't have strong feelings about it. If they put the teen champ into the TOC it wouldn't affect whether I watch it. But because the teen tournament has different types of clues, I'm not sure how well they'd do.

Re: TD 401 - Mini-TD #5 - Q2 RESULTS

My Emmy answer was a total WAG. All I knew is the show (The Good Place) has been running for a few seasons now, and he fits one pattern for the kind of actor they like to recognize.

Re: Monday, October 29, 2018 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

For the Atari game with the same name as a Shakespeare play, I said Othello, which was made for the 2600 (but I don't think it used the rotating controller). My first thought was Tempest, because it sounded like it could be a video game, but then I switched to Othello, because I know there's actual...
