They also apparently accepted an ST:NG response six months earlier, so at least that one's not without precedent.
Speaking of which, why is holodeck capitalized in that clue? It's not a brand name.

I recognized the star-lord answer, but was hung up on Peter as Peter Parker.
I did the same thing.

I've seen all the movies except for the most recent three (Captain Marvel, Endgame, and Far From Home).

Re: Learned League 85 - Official Thread

Giving the MCU ML a whirl. How do you remember Stan Lee's barber cameo...but not the -Tesseract-?! It's a small comfort that my scoring actually did match up, more or less, with the overall correct % per clue at least. More comforting was beering it. I thought about entering this one, but aft...

$14K, but I think I missed FJ the first time around, so I'd take my lock and be happy.

Re: 2020 Current Events Discussion Thread

British singer Dame Vera Lynn has died at the age of 103. In other news, Olivia de Havilland turns 104 in a couple of weeks. And Beverly Cleary turned 104 a couple of months ago. Both women could easily provide material for their own category. My recommendation to the writers is don't wait until af...

Re: Learned League 85 - Official Thread

are the results of the voting up yet? Speaking of up -- look up. ;) https://learnedleague.com/hist/awards/85.php Here are the top 5 BWAs. The winner would've been much better, in my eyes, had it been only a single word (since that's what the question asked for). Thought the one that got 2nd was rea...

Didn't the BWA duty get crowdsourced this time?
Yes. They still picked one of the lamest ones to win, though.

On the reveal, Prisoner's dilemma makes perfect sense, good clue.
I don't know about perfect sense, but you can make it make sense. I know Tucker is the guy who came up with it, so that at least got me on the right track.

I think I will just accept my 2nd relegation in as many seasons.
Or not...

Three straight days with 3 correct, but each was a win. So long as I don't forfeit today, I cannot drop into relegation.

Other than the last "week", I've been pretty consistent: 18, 18, 19, 11. My CAA seems to follow your pattern a bit closer, though: 20, 18,...
