Re: LL80: LearnedLeague

It did not take me long to be in midseason form with a 4(4) - 6(3) loss. For the girl name I wrote Kosovo in thinking Pristina reminded me of Christine(a). I worked on the other questions and then went back to it. Oh, Sofia! Instead of making the change then I instead assigned my defense points. Whe...

Re: Thursday, February 21, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

31 clues played today and 29 of them had a correct response. The TS ones were the Jackson drug and the physics name for $2K. Alan had a rough time being sandwiched between Buzzy and Larissa who took 24 of the 30 clues in the DJ! round. Team Colby took another hit when Pam did not meet the 7-letter r...

Re: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

So does the "two-day affair" for each match mean one game split into two days? I thought it was going to be two full games like Tournament finals. Thursday with DJ! and FJ! will complete one game. Friday will be a full game of J!, DJ! and FJ! to make it a second game. At that point the total from g...

Re: for Survivor talk

Not news for fans of the show though a bonus for drive-by visitors who are not aware: The Edge of Extinction season beginning February 20, 2019 will be season 38 of the show that has aired more than 550 episodes. If it seems hard to believe: The show began in May 2000 and did so well it came back in...

Re: Jeopardy All-Star Games

Thanks. Do the all-star players get introduced with occupations and hometowns, or some other blurb like in the celebrity matches ("He's won over four million dollars and has never been beaten by a human...") or...? It's more like the latter although it's the six captains only. It's not at the start...

Re: Jeopardy All-Star Games

Do we know/can anyone reveal the exact player placements (left/center/right)? I'll do it in spoilers just in case someone really wants to know nothing ahead of time before watching later: Alex in the champ's spot Colby in the middle Brad at spot 3 In expecting no changes tomorrow then: Buzzy at the...

Hammer would not be amused at the misdirection in PANCREAS... $800
Joke's on you. I ran the category. $800 didn't throw me at all, because "It contains notes, charts, tables & lists" obviously isn't going to be a pancreas or spleen.

Also ran the "Y" Me category.

Re: Jeopardy All-Star Games

Alex Jacob and his FJ! clue percentage at 18% is to be taken with a grain of salt as game circumstances too often dictated no need for him to play it legit.

Re: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The game should come with a warning for the board member who does not like things such as ad libs and a movie character impression. Others will find it refreshing that the players are relaxed enough to have fun even in an event with big stakes in play.

Re: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Very strange episode with just 30 clues. The captains were introduced and Alex had envelopes naming the three teams. The team members were introduced and a table huddle was shown for each team deciding round assignments. It was not set ahead of time and the teams knew their opponents. 15 clues were ...

Re: Tuesday, February 19, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Matt let that game get away and it will not be fun for him to watch it as the lead disappears. When playing on stage a lot of the game details are hard to recall along with scoreboard nuances. The reality will hit when watching on TV without the studio aspects. Dana's break is two weeks for TV viewe...

All's Well That Ends Well Shrew was part of my precalls off the category. I do not remember all of my precalls and I'm sure I did not think of all of the comedies in the list.
