Re: 2019 Current Events Study Guide

S34 & S35 had a clue about the NBC show American Ninja Warrior . For Season 11 of American Ninja Warrior that ended on 9/16/19 this is a spoiler. Whoever finishes the furthest get $100,000. If someone completes Stage 4 within 30 seconds then the prize is $1,000,000. If two people both complete Stage...

Re: When will J-Archive.com upload answers and questions for Season 6?

I don't understand why my DVR records Jeopardy at 7PM only to miss the first few selections. Makes no sense. I shouldn't have to record the 6 o'clock news. It's like some desperate trick to get more viewers. On KGO the show comes on right about 6:59, so my DVR (Xfinity) is set to begin the recordin...

Re: Monday, September 16, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Jason needs $54K+ to pass Austin and Julia on the money list in regular play. 27R and 3/3 on DDs like today is the way to keep winning. He needs $54,970 to pass Austin and Matt . He would need to average $35,735 over the next two games to pass Julia. Matt, right. I did not mean to stretch that + on...

Re: Monday, September 16, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Wow! How often do we see a spelling mistake in a Jeopardy! clue??? I grabbed my phone to take a screen shot as soon as I noticed it, but was too late to catch it. The initial reveal was okay while it was the secondary shot with the error. Here are both: https://i.ibb.co/YT5423N/nobel.jpg https://i....

Re: Monday, September 16, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Funny that Jason got Avalon on Friday and Camelot today. Five more clues left on the boards today. :( It was obvious the editor was working today as Laura had at least 3 clipped responses that shorted the hearing of her proper phrasing. It's there and just misses being heard fully to irk some needle...

Thanks for hosting! Woohoo!
Well done. [Dap!] The use-a-drop strategy worked well enough over avoiding the lifelines for the bonus at the end.

Thanks for the game Ironhorse. Yes, 39 is a good turnout and your game was quite playable with many options.

Re: Friday, September 13, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Anyone else get "Bowhunting" for Archery? How 'bout pronouncing ""Nguyen" as "Win?" Counted them both right. Definitely count "Win" for Nguyen. I counted my "crossbow" response and I would count bowhunting as I would think the clue was not pinned to "archery" only. I read about the Maryland laws he...

Re: Friday, September 13, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Before time was up I wrote 2016. That is what matters. Haha--where/when else did your thinking wander? Here it goes: My first problem was using the break to tally my scores and the contestant Coryats. Because of the way clues are selected in the Holzhauerian Era I could not tally up categories for ...

Re: Fun with GSN's "Common Knowledge"

You're making me really glad I don't watch this show with any regularity. :x All of Lucario's things shared about the show ARE the reason to watch regularly as something like the examples happen each night. That analog clock thing had me shaking my head since two of the players were not spring chic...

Re: Friday, September 13, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Jason's good luck dad tied tie worked its magic again for the big payday as he was off and running with $10K in the first segment. The opening graphics were the Tuesday set again so it may be the staff only created three versions. The FJ! clue is about getting it right and not about how long or shor...

With a lot of new people in the seats for the afternoon taping session there was an extra audience pop audible as Alex entered. The opening graphics recycled back to Monday's set. Alex of course would have no way of remembering the FJ! clue from this game: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_...

Re: Fun with GSN's "Common Knowledge"

On these GSN shows I'm sure each winning team member gets the same amount to split the money won. That's fine for the $1,000 while sometimes when a team wins the jackpot, $8,000-$1,000-$1,000 seems more just.
