Yep, Squarekara: Dr. Suess, aka Alan Sues, best known as "Uncle Al, the Kiddies' Pal" (watching too much of that infomercial for Laugh-In DVD's)

Re: FJs for the 1/29/18 week

No problem with Dayton, passing thru there about a zillion times. "Semi-Bypass" I-675 is there next to the Air Force base (would connect fully back to I-75 north of town, but I think the Air Force owns some of that land on which the highway would be built on.)

Only missed the $200 box: said "flea-flicker"
No problem with $1K: Judge Alan Page, Carl Eller, Jim "Wrong-Way" Marshall & Gary Larson (not the "Far Side" cartoonist; he looks like Eric the Red on his 1975 Topps Football card!) 8-)

Re: Final Fleming Episode

Original show cancellation: look up Lin Bolen, who wanted to bring NBC game shows and hosts into a '70s look.
Pilot for short-lived remake in 1977. The "14th Edition" (there was not a 13th) home game was in 1982 (interesting how a clue on the 1981 World Series got there?).

Yes, Winter Haven is on U.S. 92, just south of "Interstate" 4, next door to Lakeland. 8-)

Re: Secret Bunker News

Also to add fuel to the Christmas yule log, NBC is airing Steelers/Texans beginning at 4/3 CT, so that will run probably for 4 hours, causing more chaos with schedules!

Oops, correction (phone keyboard gives me fits:)

Scott Steiger -- 9,500 - 500 = 9,000
Colin Rafferty - 7,500 + 1,500 = 9,000
(fixed!)

Since you asked:

Scott Steiger: 9,500 - 500 = 9,000
Colin Rafferty: 7,500 ÷ 1,500 = 9,000 8-)

Watching a game from Season 3 today, challenger Fran was trying to ring in on a clue, but was using the light pen from the FJ round instead, which she admitted to Alex during the contestant interviews.

Re: Positioning of Contestants During Closing Credits

Back in Season 5, only the winner came out to center stage to chat with Alex during the closing credits -- the other two contestants were either chatting behind the podiums or standing behind the far left podium, giving Alex the evil eye as the camera panned in.

Being here in north Florida, those ads (including fellow lawyer Alexander Shunarrah) spill across the border from the Dothan stations, one of them with the Alabama secretary of state still reminding you to vote on August 15th!

Nothing! Come on, schools are closing, bread/food being wiped off the shelves, hotels jacking up their rates, some gas shortages. If this was a real emergency, like an approaching hurricane, I could understand. And the TV networks are going off the deep end to get this live coverage on the air! Yawn...

There was also the Hornet & the Gremlin, maybe built at the old AMC plant in Toledo. Also watch the scene in "The Man With the Golden Gun" where James Bond literally drives an AMC Pacer (?) off the showroom floor in Bangkok in pursuit of Scaramanga.

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Yep! For me it was WCTV, Channel 6 in Tallahassee on 87.5-87.7 FM: covered a wide area from Panama City to Dothan & probably its far eastern boundary, Lake City. This was the station whose GM decided to run J! instead of broadcasting gubernatorial debates, & then he decided to cancel the show in spr...
